ME: Do your best. I switched off my phone and closed my eyes. The next morning, Lucien and I agreed to meet mother at her estate. I arrived first , then Lucien arrived and he walked towards me. “Are you ready?,” he asked. I nodded. “We just have introduced ourselves right?,” I asked. “Yeah and I think that is it. The rest will flow…,” Lucien answered. Conversation between me and my brother flowed naturally but meeting a half brother I never met and talking…I don't know what to ask after I introduced myself.

“Hey, Eth,” I say, walking into the house and seeing my other brother in the kitchen, sipping a beer. I give him a little wave, but don’t move to give him a hug. I hug my parents and my sister, but I don’t hug my brothers. They hug each other, but…well that isn’t the relationship that we have with each other. And though this is a meeting for us to get to know each other better and bury the hatchet, I’m not going to push my luck.

“Well, I'm glad you didn't. Because I really do not need a pack doctor. See, I'm doing quite okay now.” “I can see that. And I'm glad you feel much better. That will give me another twenty minutes with my brothers and then I’ll drive there and I’ll still be home for dinner at decent hours. Bonnie won’t have to kill me today. “Sure, are any of your brothers joining us?” He asks and I look again round the room before I reply to him.

My legs tingling, my stomach churned as I released myself. Taking in a deep breathe. My eyes turned red in pure anger instead of the usual satisfaction that came from climaxing. We had to be strong for our pack. So I joined them and we started the meeting officially.

She looked at the three men, Alexander, Damian, and Lorenzo. searching their faces for anything she recognized, something she could believe. “No,” she said quietly, her hand shaking as she held the knife. “That can’t be true. I would remember. I would know if I had brothers.” Alexander’s expression softened, but there was sadness in his eyes. “You were very little when it happened,” he said gently. “We were older. You might remember us as the boys who played with you in the garden, who built blanket forts, who read you bedtime stories.”
