End of flashback We quickly became friends after we met at the park, and Kayla always looked up to meeting Swift. He had asked me out after about a year of being friends, and though I'd been hesitant in the beginning, I’d eventually said yes. I had been scared, and wanted to focus only on my then starting business, while giving my daughter the best life she could ever have, but I realised that I was just still stuck in the past, And so I'd given him a chance. I had been scared that Kayla might get too attached and get heartbroken if we were to break up, but I realised she was still already attached to him anyway, and that I'd just have to make sure we worked out.

My father stated. “A wedding!” I exclaimed, “Don’t you think you’re getting a little ahead of yourself dad?” “No, Miriam. Our clan adores you, but they do not trust your mate or his clan.
