“I will get you an apartment, but you can’t stay in my house anymore, not when you are a bad memory to Megan.” Steve looked at me from top to bottom and scoffed. “I never thought I’d see the day you would fall head over heels for any woman.” He chuckled mockingly. “You are so whipped, bro.” That word made my blood turn to lava. I couldn’t stop myself from giving Steve another blow, but this time to his nose, and he instantly started bleeding. “I don’t love Megan or anyone!” I yelled, scaring Steve for the first time in a while. “Megan is my insurance package to getting what I deserve from my father and nothing more.”

Meg says and ends the call hastily. Ally thinks about the call all the way home. Of course, the atmosphere in the house must be strange right now. There was a death in the family. Ally can only imagine how it must feel to live there at this moment. Maybe that is what is making Meg so nervous. But why is Meg using Eric’s phone? Does she not have her phone anymore? Ally dials Meg’s number as soon as she gets home. The phone rings but there is no answer. At least the phone is on. Ally decides that it is a good sign.

The dark mech emanated an invisible aura even as it silently stood inert. "It feels as if I'm being sucked into hell."
