The kid must have had her head down because she didn’t see Megan until it was too late. Megan was shocked as the girl seemed to have flipped over her and her dog. When the girl had landed her butt, her messenger bag had spilled open and out slid her books, her small throwing knives that her father had given her. When the small black ritual book with what looked like it had, some hand-painted a design on it and a few vials of mystery liquids that had landed safely across the grass of Megan’s older neighbor, Allison.

"You're the one that told me to stop running - the one that convinced me to fight for what I want..." Meghan exhaled heavily and ran her hand through her hair. Her face was flushed with colour. I couldn't quite tell what she was feeling. She looked annoyed, but she also looked regretful of bringing up the subject. A part of me wondered whether she was angry... But why would she be? That didn't make any sense at all. Why would Meghan be mad that I didn't want to leave the pack again?
