A white lace, with delicate, swirling patterns all over. The top was tight, with a sweetheart neckline that showed more than I’d wanted, and the lace fell down in soft layers to the floor. It had this long, dramatic train that dragged behind me with every step. The whole thing shimmered a bit, like it was meant for some big, fancy event, not a cold, empty courtroom. It was way too much for this place.
