I had heard rumors about a beautiful female doctor in our hospital's urology department named Jade Clemens. It was said her face had an angelic innocence, yet her figure sparked imagination. Many male doctors were eager to meet her; some even went directly to the urology clinic to register as her patients. The doctors from the anesthesiology department where I worked often mentioned her, joking that they would make appointments with her someday to get a "thorough examination". I told them not to go too far and to respect her profession, but they replied, "The lady herself doesn't mind, so why are you so concerned?"

I secretly throw the medicine in the trash bin while she was not looking at me. “W-Who’s your doctor here?” I asked, still trying to act. Damn! I need this information. “The doctor here is Doc. Raymond Madrigal. He’s a specialist,” the nurse said. Raymond Madrigal, huh? It does not a ring a bell. I haven’t heard that name with the wolves around me. “Looks like he’s good huh?” I said while staring at the window.

"Excuse me! Where is Melody Quinn? The one who got in an accident?" The nurse looked down, tapping on her keyboard, before looking back up at him. "There's no one named Melody Quinn who got in an accident, sir." Evan had barely breathed a sigh of relief when the nurse's next words sent him plummeting into the abyss. "Ah, but there is someone named Melody Quinn in oncology. Is she your friend?"

I would hate not being able to fill the blanks in my head and feeling guilty that I was partially responsible for my kid lying there unconscious. Melody had been here for more than one hour and the doctor who had attended to her had checked out her wounds, said they weren't serious. He had said that she was unconscious because of the shock of what she had suffered and would soon be up. He had told us an hour ago that she would soon be up but that soon was yet to be here that I wondered if the doctor's vocabulary needed to be checked. "I don't know." I shrugged, making sure my face didn't betray how I felt.

The doctor bowed his head respectfully, "I examined Madam's body and she does have a scar on her abdomen, but it's not from a C-section." Melody stared in disbelief and growled in exasperation, "No way! Did she bribe you? The doctor before said it was definitely a C-section scar!" The doctor was modest, "You can call that doctor to confront me, and I wonder if I need to be as superficial as everyone else in this field of learning." Melody was too angry to speak, biting her lip and glaring viciously at Serena. Serena somehow got the picture, it looked like everything tonight was a toss up for Melody, her mouth turned up at the corners, the best was yet to come.

We were both allowed to do what we wanted whenever we wanted. But I swore by respect and he didn’t give me any of that. I walked back into my room in anger and the realization that the woman in there was my maid. Of course.
