Painted Pearls

Painted Pearls

"Sonjica here- " and Edward flapped his hand at the distracted man- "was just informing me that these birds are town bred. Well! I've put a penny on it, for they're country bred, through and through!" "You've lost your money, then" replied the merchant, Mr Casbane, "for they're town bred." "They are most certainly not!" "Take it or leave it, Mister! They're town bred, and I have the ledger here to prove it."

Mated To My Lycan Prince

Mated To My Lycan Prince

"I hear from my housekeeper that you are traveling merchants?" There was the sound of heavy footsteps on the stairs, and then the door of the reception room opened. A fat man who looked exactly like the portrait hanging on the wall walked in. He was so fat that his facial features were no longer obvious, the two moustaches curled up as he spoke. "Yes, we are gem merchants. We are leaving after doing some business in the city. Before that, we are here to express our gratitude to you." Alen's face was full of sincerity. He's obviously very good at this sort of thing.

THE TRUE MONARCH

THE TRUE MONARCH

We sat in the cafe when I spotted that person sitting in the cafe across the road. After finishing breakfast, we roamed around a bit. We had left the City of Westminster and right now, were in Camden. Camden was the centre of trade for the people of Magna. Ivy and Jeremy wanted to buy some stuff for themselves so we decided that they could shop for a while and I could wander a bit. I stopped at a Tela shop and walked inside. The bell dinged as I opened the door of the shop. “Yes, how may I help you?” An old man asked me.

How to Make the Ice Prince Fall

How to Make the Ice Prince Fall

"This is the camp of the Golden Cauldron merchants. Please don't trespass." Confidently, Katherine straitened her posture. "I'm a healer. I wanted to offer my service. Our caravan wanted to leave town for the forest today, but as I heard about your accident, I persuaded them to wait for a bit and let me inquire about the circumstances. And, of course, offer any help we can muster." The face of the mercenary brightened. "Well then, I best show you the way to our leader." The leader of the merchant group was so fat that Katherine wondered how he managed to flee with so much weight to slow him down.

THE CEO IS MY EX HUSBAND

THE CEO IS MY EX HUSBAND

Hayle. “Get off the road, scallywag!.” A merchant yelled as he passed by, rolling his wheel forward with a cart containing carrots, onions, and pretty much any other white substance. “Woah, the people really are rude.” I complained, my eyes roaming around the environment. I really could not get the deal they all had or what it was they were aiming for, but it probably has to do with them not recognising us. I bet the very moment we had our cloaks pulled off from our heads, they would recognise us instantly and fall at our feet.

Vengeance Against That Scum

Vengeance Against That Scum

She looked confident in her high heels. "Ember!" Caleb waved, and Ember walked quickly to him. There was another man next to Caleb. "Who is he?" Ember sat opposite them and raised an eyebrow. She didn't recognize the man. He was probably not Caleb's friend. "The former equipment merchant," Caleb introduced that man to Ember. "Mr. Lane, I need to go. I have work to do." The man was about to stand up when Caleb got up to his feet. He put his hands on the merchant's shoulders and forced him to remain seated.

My Second Chance Mate is a Barbarian

My Second Chance Mate is a Barbarian

"Two gold. And you keep your mouth shut." "One gold and five silver," I said. "And I'll buy a bottle of your best malt to go with it." The merchant laughed, a dry, rattling sound. "One gold and eight silver. And the malt is extra." "Deal." I dropped the coins onto the table. He wrapped the pendant in a piece of rough deer-skin and handed it over. I tucked it into my bag. It wasn't enough. I still needed the malt. I moved deeper into the market, toward the specialty traders. I heard a group of women talking near a rack of dyed wool.

The Blood Moon Ascendance

The Blood Moon Ascendance

It was a good thing Damian was not breathing down my neck at every fucking opportunity. I passed by merchants peddling their wares, their stalls overflowing with goods from every corner of the realm. Silks from the distant lands of the East, spices from the sun-drenched markets of the South, and jewels mined from the depths of the earth glittered enticingly in the sunlight, tempting passersby with promises of wealth and luxury.

GINI: The Wicked Saviour

The man said. “Won’t you come inside and have tea with us?” The baby voice asked seductively. “No thanks,” the merchant said with a sigh, “I got a letter that my wife put to bed last night, I must be by her side before the sun sets.” “I see, okay, here is your money.” The coins jingled again. “Please come a little bit closer into the shadow, for I am sick and can’t come out of the sun.” Silence passed again.

Raven the lurker
I have gotten used to read female lead stories from her so this time when it is male lead it's quite a refreshing and interesting change up. The start is promising and very well written and it's not the typical type of a novel so give it a chance as this author never ceases from surprising you.
Anthony .O. Godwin
