In that moment, standing on the dusty stairwell of the old school, Elaine realized her dream of becoming a Knight of Artharia was dead. Swallowing the knot in her throat, she pulled herself together and stepped out of the stairwell into the hall. To Elle, crying was done only in the worst of moments, when the fight was gone, and a person found themselves in the shadows of their own destruction, all alone. It was no surprise that she couldn’t stand Leana; Elaine didn’t know how to sort out feelings, let alone be consumed by them.

She smiled and walked toward him, feeling the link between them reconnecting. Suddenly, Merlin lunged forward wielding a large broken shard of timber and plunged it straight into his chest. She felt the pain tearing through him as she screamed as he fell to the floor clutching his chest. Running to him, dropping down onto her knees, she held him in her arms. Merlin, stunned, staggered backwards. "Oh god! I thought you were dead! What have I done? " Ignoring him, Arianna cried, "No, no, no!" Holding onto him tightly, "You can't leave me like this, not after everything I've done to come here, this war is not over yet!".

"Don't like pain? Don't worry, we have a long time to teach you to enjoy it." He forced his knees into the back of her legs, causing her to kneel in front of him. His hand splayed over her curls, again. Arthur's mouth slanted over hers as his thick digits attacked her slit, forcing two inside, stopping just at her maidenhood. Ivory screamed, but this time his mouth caught the offending sound. He forced his fingers apart, stretching her. Arthur started sawing his fingers in and out of her, pressing deeper, finally tearing through the thin flesh.

The moon goddess must be playing some tricks…some jokes with me right, huh, because I don’t fuvking get it! I hate those humans! They have made our lives, my people lived in hiding. I whisper, my voice barely audible above the faint hum of anticipation. Rhaenan struggles to summon a smile, his eyes reflecting a myriad of unspoken emotions. "I'll never forget you, Maerwynn. Remember, you are deadly and strong. A Faebloom." He presses a tender kiss to the back of my hand before vanishing away, leaving me feeling strangely hollow in his absence. Alone in the vastness of the stadium, I tighten my grip on my bow, steeling myself for what lies ahead. Suddenly, five figures materialize in an upper balcony, and my heart lurches at the sight of the most familiar among them—Valen.

I softly uttered. Just these few times I’ve spent with Malicia, I can tell she is a good friend, and even more than a friend. Now, I understand why Elara always speaks about her. I push my head backward as I try to mind-link Alpha Blade. This was my first time doing that with him after I had access to my Wolf. “Hey, Blade!” Slowly shaking my head as I try to get his attention. “What is it, Arthur?” He responds through the mind link.

You should show up for dinner so I can prove to that girl that Arita isn’t lying about being married,” she said. King frowned, confusion written all over his face. “Wait, don’t tell me Arita hasn’t told you the girls made a bet with her. If you don’t show up, she will have to leave the school,” Morgana rushed.

Arthur whispered, his voice barely audible, “I can’t... let go...” Mira glanced at him, her expression softening with pity. “Hold on, Arthur. I’m going to get you through this.” Tony leaned closer, his hand resting on Arthur’s shoulder. “Stay with us, Arthur. Don’t let them win.” Arthur didn’t respond. He couldn’t. The darkness was too strong, too tempting. The hallucinations came in waves—memories distorted into nightmares, familiar faces twisted with malice. Elara’s face floated before him, but this time, her eyes were cold, accusing. She whispered his name, but it wasn’t in love; it was in contempt.

We cuddled while staring up at the glorious yet ominous sky above us as we talked about Arthur’s adventures with Kevin, Zephyr, and Merlin. I could hear the sorrow in his voice as he fell asleep telling me his favorite tales with th
