But Hana couldn't swim; fortunately, before the sea engulfed her, she returned to her old space with boxes and a wet body. Hana touched the third box, this space filled with fresh flowers. Violet flowers are my favorite flower of mermaids. Wanting to obtain the love of the mermaids, the young man planted and cared for it himself. Waiting until the flowers bloom, he will lead her here and confess his love. He finally waited until that day, but at the moment the smile of the most brilliant mermaid. A knife struck her heart; her fresh blood stained the violet garden.

Spending her life in an exile domain with dark evil creatures she calls her pet. With the little world she manages to create she builds an army of possessed mermaids and mermans injecting in them a toxin that could prove fatal to them turning them against their own kind with just a single scratch. It is true that they will be beautiful. I remembered my grandmother's story to me, that the mermaids in the Kingdom of the Euphrates were very deceptive and that their victims were often men. Because of their rare beauty men fall for them, or if not they hypnotize them. They are hard to resist. I tried to ignore the mermaids and looked around. I was out of breath so I had to go back to the surface to breathe. "ZAVAN!" I shouted above the water. I swam and looked around, where did the prince swim? "ZAVAN!"

I gripped a handful of my dress and began to hurry in that direction before he could stop me. “I’m sorry” I apologized as I almost tripped and bumped into some kid before making my way through and it’s exactly as Logan had said but it’s not the flying whales or talking monkey that caught my attention. It was something else. A glass box stood by the side with a mermaid in it. Her tales all covered in blue scales and shimmering under the water. I made my way closer and stood beside it before placing my hands against the box with wide eyes. I just couldn’t believe I was seeing one for real. I have read about it but seeing one just makes it all the more real and exciting.

Ander scoffed. “I don't know what's going on down south, but they obviously didn't give them full lessons,” Ander said and picked up the book. “Mermaids are bewitched creatures, once beautiful fish women, but they were cursed to eternal hunger and not being able to be satiated. They keep their song, so they lure unbound men to eat them and they gladly go because they can't tell the difference between the illusion.” Ander's explanation made sense. “How do I know what you say is true?” asked Caleb with a frown.
