The girl did not move. Her body was covered with cuts and punctures. Blood kept flowing, creating a pool of blood around it. The man was shocked! He was absolutely horrified by the scene in front of him. His body trembled, his eyes filled with a sense of disbelief and fear. He stepped slowly, while trembling. He could not believe what he saw until he was right near the pool of blood.

I whisper internally, barely holding on. ‘I’ve got you,’ she answers, fierce and unyielding. ‘Let go.’ And I do. The world explodes. My body convulses as the transformation takes over completely. Bones crack, loud, brutal, reshaping. My spine arches violently as my body drops forward, limbs elongating, reforming with terrifying speed. Claws tear through fully now, digging deep into the ground as my hands become paws. My senses sharpen beyond anything I’ve ever known. Every sound amplified, every movement painfully clear.

Feared. But something deep within her stirred, ancient and electric. Change was coming. She didn't know when. Or how. But she felt it in her bones. And…” He pauses and sighs. “Let me guess, it’s not a painless thing.” He shakes his head. “No, it’s not.” “All because I pushed a button I shouldn’t have.” I lean forward and grab my mug of tea. “And even worse, my bestie is probably begging and pleading her life away to try to get me out of it. But there’s no getting out of this, is there?” I take a sip of the scalding tea and gulp it down to avoid burning my tongue worse only to sear my throat as well, and I slam the mug down on the table.

I didn’t question why he wanted me to transform. I turned back to Mira, my eyes growing cold. “As you wish.” A sharp squeaking sound filled the air, followed by the sickening crack of bones shifting and snapping into place. The pain rattled me deeply; it was unbearable, but I gritted my teeth and endured it until the transformation was complete. The moment it ended, I moved. Before Mira could even react, I swatted her across the room and sent her crashing into the wall. The instant her back slammed against it, I lunged forward, caught her, and hurled her up toward the dome of the building before slashing her downward with my claws.

But then the full moon broke fully over the horizon and everything inside her snapped. Pain tore through Amanda’s body, sudden and violent. She stumbled, clutching at her chest, gasping as fire raced through her veins. Her vision blurred, her skin burned, her bones ached like they were breaking, reshaping. A scream ripped from her throat... but it wasn’t a scream at all, it was a howl. Gasps echoed through the square as the crowd turned, eyes wide, mouths open. Amanda collapsed to the ground, writhing, her body twisting in ways it shouldn’t. And then, with a final shuddering cry, her human form shattered, replaced by silver fur that gleamed beneath the moonlight.

😄 today's chapter is about the first meeting of Qilin and Chang'e. I really hope it's good and if you think it's a bit naive then You are right. That's what I am aiming! My skin tingled, dissolved, replaced by a soft, thick coat. I stretched, gasping, feeling muscles tighten and lengthen. My vision shifted—sharper, clearer, more vivid than ever before.
