she asked with a slight tremor in her voice. Owen sighed, his face taking on a more serious expression. “Yes. A lot. The first transformation is the most painful. Your bones break and mold into another shape. Your skin changes, your senses sharpen... It's like being reborn. But you'll go through it surrounded by people who will be there for you.
