Melody’s POV I arrived at the house before Teddy, so I went inside to prepare the salad, using some fresh spring greens and romain lettuce. I shaved some carrots and diced onion and tomatoes, finishing it all off with a sprinkle of garlic. I then went to the fridge to see what types of dressings I had left.

It was as if she remembered something. She shook her head and said, “Oh, no, the regular one, please?” She bit her lower lips and trembled.

At this moment, Layla, who had been focused on eating, spoke up in a small, childish voice, "Mommy doesn't like to eat raw vegetables, carrots, spinach, cabbage, green beans, romaine lettuce, and…" Jessamine was speechless. Milo eyed the dishes with a hint of scepticism, his expression turning into a subtle pout. ‘What’s this green stuff, Mom? And why is there fish that looks like it’s wearing a fancy coat?’ Alessia chuckled at Milo’s candid observations. ‘That, sweetheart, is a kale salad, and the “fish with a fancy coat” is lobster. I asked, handing over the phone to him. He took it, looking at the screen with curiosity. "Ooh... Kelproll Fusion Platter?" he read, and I peeked over his shoulder. The dish consisted of cold rice wraps with salted kelp, pickled cucumber threads, and something called frost shrimp. I had no idea what it was, but it sounded mer-friendly enough.
