The day dragged on. The clouds rolled over the sky, heavy and dark. Somewhere in the house, someone was crying, Rain thought it was Gina. Aria’s voice murmured softly, soothing, motherly. Rain moved quietly through the corridors until she heard another voice, Elias.
He was talking to Aria in the study. Rain paused outside the door, her back pressed to the wall.
