It sounded a little like a cry for he-eeeeellllppp. The Beast sprung, a hound on a bone, and bit down on Michael’s Achilles tendon. A snapping pop of flesh as teeth tore through skin, shooting salty-sweet blood into his attacker’s mouth. A white-hot flame of heat coursed through Michael’s system, and whilst he didn’t feel pain in the traditional sense, a jet of vomit erupted from him. Bitter and bright green. Michael’s other foot, tangled in wire, smashed the top of The Beast’s head, and he used its scalp like a ladder rung to heave up those crucial few inches. To what he wanted. To what he needed. His hand landed on the rock.

Smiling he says, "You must be Zoey, we've heard a lot about you, do you have anything you're bringing with you?" I shake my head no. He offers his hand "I'm Michael, Alpha of the Black Forrest Pack." I called after him, my plea falling on deaf ears. Sighing in frustration, I spun around, intent on checking on Mr. Blackwood. But the sight that greeted me made me let out a startled scream. There, battered and bruised, stood Michael, his eyes shot with a manic red hue. He stumbled towards me, muttering something incoherent, and before I could react, he collapsed, his entire weight crashing down on me, sending us both tumbling to the floor.
