I ignored him, not having the strength to go back and forth with him. "Follow my lead," he said. I went past the security who didn't even bat an eyelid. The pack was different from the Blood Moon Pack. Their buildings were smaller with a more homely feel. "Where are you taking me?" I asked the ghost. "To my house. My mum and brother will take good care of you." I scoffed. "Don't you think it's crazy for me to go to a house and tell your family that I can see your ghost?"

CHAPTER 7 /NATHAN/ For three whole days, I did my absolute best to disappear. I completely ghosted Maverick, ignoring the barrage of texts blowing up my phone about our next tutoring location. I thought if I went cold enough, he’d get bored of whatever twisted game he was playing and back off. I was wrong. A grey pick up truck halted metres away from a 10 foot tall rotten old gate. It had cobwebs and all kind of nasty stuff on it as it guarded a one storey tall house behind it. The house was a perfect example of a haunted house. It had cobwebs literally everywhere. The windows that were shut close. The roof. Everywhere! Five teenagers were seated inside the truck - three guys and two girls - who were there for one thing. Adventure. "Okay, guys. We're here." Mark, the guy in the driver seat turned and spoke to the rest sitting in the back seat.

Not a single word came out. "This is my house." My voice was ice cold. "I don't want to see you anymore. "Leave."

I got up wondering who it might be. I opened the door and was surprised to see Mickey. "Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked, and he bowed instantly. I took a step back. What is wrong with him? "You can get up," I said, being awkward. He got up and smiled at me. "Please don't make me feel awkward," I gave him a smile and stepped aside, welcoming him inside.

We both stepped into another hall that had been prepared for the after-party. The party was a blast! The decorations were spectacular, with Mickey and Minnie Mouse balloons, a Cinderella castle centerpiece, and a life-sized cutout of Goofy. The music playing in the background added to the magic of the evening, with classic Disney tunes filling the air. Leopold really went all out, and I felt like a kid again. I couldn't wait to join in the fun and celebrate in this enchanting setting. It was the perfect choice to bring fun and magic to our special moment.

It lasted approximately six minutes before the boys got bored and demanded something scarier. “No horror,” I said firmly. “Just a little spooky,” Eddie begged. I caved and chose The Haunted Lighthouse, a mildly eerie kids’ movie with a ghost dog and a friendly skeleton. Halfway through, Mr. Speedy mysteriously vanished. “Where’s my turtle?” Oliver wailed. Chaos erupted. Pillows flew. Flashlights beamed under furniture. Claire nearly fell off the couch laughing. After ten minutes, we found Mr. Speedy under the coffee table, wedged behind a stack of comic books, casually eating a gummy worm.

She put down the picture and ran to the sofa, her eyes sparkling with hope. “Mommy, you’re being lazy again! I’m going back to our old home to get the music box. Then, I can wake you up!” Seeing her determined to leave, I instinctively reached out for an umbrella, wanting to remind her that it was raining outside. Alas, my hand passed right through her body!
