Marked By Midnight

Marked By Midnight

The screen dimmed, and I drifted to sleep, holding the phone to my chest like it could warm away the ache. But just as dawn brushed the sky in pale gold, distant sounds dragged me from sleep. Screams, panicked and erratic. Then something louder, a crack. The unmistakable cry of chaos unraveling. Frowning, I stumbled out of bed, walked to the window, and pulled back the curtain. My breath caught in my throat, there was smoke. Thick, black coils rising in the distance. The horizon was ablaze with something I couldn’t yet name, but every instinct in me screamed one thing, Shaelith.

EDEN: Steamy Forbidden Pleasures

EDEN: Steamy Forbidden Pleasures

~Maxine's POV~ The neon haze of downtown Seattle blurred at the edges as I stumbled out of The Midnight Sun bar, the bass from inside still thumping in my chest like a second heartbeat. It was past two a.m., and the street was a ghost town, empty sidewalks slick with rain, the kind that never quite washed away the grime.

The Midnight Moon Howls My Name

The Midnight Moon Howls My Name

she said, “he is dying.” “Can you help him?” I asked. “Yes” she answers “but we have to act fast.” “How can I help?” I said. “Go in Liam’s closet and look for a wooden box, bring it to me” she said. I run inside the cabin, to his room and start ripping apart his closet. There is no wooden box in here. It’s gotta be hidden somewhere. I start knocking the wall until I hear something hallow and push. It reveals a small hideaway with the wooden box and a few other things. I grab the box and dart outside.

Waking up to my sin

Waking up to my sin

Midnight in London didn't bring darkness; it brought a filtered, sickly orange haze of light pollution that clung to the low-hanging clouds like a bruise. The city breathed around us—a heavy, mechanical respiration of distant sirens, the hum of the Underground vibrating through the soles of our boots, and the restless energy of eight million people unaware that a war was being fought in their peripheral vision.

Wolf Moon

Wolf Moon

Then, at his signal, he swiftly turned off the main power supply to the mansion, plunging it into complete darkness. The sudden blackout sent ripples of confusion and panic through the mansion. Lights flickered off, electronic devices went silent, and the once-illuminated hallways became shrouded in an inky blackness. The chaos inside the mansion was immediate, with voices calling out in surprise and concern. In the pitch-black prison cell, Lark, Gabriel, Jacky, Carla, and their allies waited with bated breath. The sound of commotion from outside reached their ears as mansion staff scrambled to figure out what had happened.

Hunting for Midnight

Hunting for Midnight

at the latest, but I stayed up too late last night finishing the final edits for my most recent video for my YouTube channel, Hunting for Midnight. Hunting for Midnight is a dream come true for me. The channel focuses on traveling the country where I document, interview people, search for, and record paranormal experiences and events. I investigate whether there is real paranormal activity occurring or if the disturbances are actually caused by natural events and circumstances. As of to date, I have yet to uncover single true evidence-based paranormal event. For the last four years I’ve spent investigating and documenting suspected paranormal events, there’s always logical and scientific evi

My Ex-Wife's Hidden Identity

My Ex-Wife's Hidden Identity

The real twins cooed softly in their new cribs, blissfully unaware of the chaos surrounding them. Adrian walked in silently, placing a hand on her shoulder. “You’re trembling,” he murmured. “I can’t help it,” Rita said. “It’s like… something awful is brewing in the air.” Adrian knelt beside her. “Then let it come. This is our last storm. After this, we begin again.” The Hour Approaches Midnight. All eyes — and cameras — were on the decoy nursery. Hidden figures crept across the lawn. A masked woman with lithe limbs slithered toward the west entrance, unaware a silent alarm had triggered.

Reborn To Ruin The Alpha

Reborn To Ruin The Alpha

His voice was trying not to shake and mostly failing. "That's all I know. She gave me the container and the access code and the timing.""The timing." I said."Midnight." He said. "She said midnight specifically."I looked at my watch.Eleven fifty eight. Two minutes.I looked at Nyxara. She was still holding the container, her expression doing the specific thing it did when she was working through something precise and fast.

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

“We all have fears, princess.” “Even you?” “Especially me.” Cam pried her fingers away from the beer bottle so he could hold her hand. “But maybe you oughta come clean about what happened that makes you so afraid of dogs.” Domini gazed off into the distance, as if gauging her words. “When I was six, we were relocating from Kiev to Kharkiv because everything was in chaos due to the Chernobyl incident. We were waiting outside the train station, when two Soviet policemen showed up with a German shepherd police dog. A big, mean, snarly attack dog. Although I’d done nothing wrong, I…ran.”

As I look at my year in review, this author and book collection has been monumental in reigniting my hunger for reading. I can't track most of the books from this app easily for my year end count but in my heart this book means the most. I wish I could buy a printed version of each of these. .........

Love this well written book! Thoughts & emotions are conveyed beautifully! The author makes you feel like you know the characters intimately w/o being excessive or mundane. Hot & steamy w/o crude vulgarity! I wish we could give gems at the end of chapter but that’s the app, not the author’s fault.
