I was in the middle of nowhere. I quickly noted the obvious that this was a castle. A damned castle made out of obsidian blocks! From the stonework on the outer wall and the winding black pillars this thing was massive. If I peered down closely a ravine appeared which led to nothing but darkness. It looked as though the ravine surrounded the entire building meaning the castle was standing on a slab of earth. Giving the whole shadow vibe a whole new level of scariness.My fingers sizzled with ice on the windowsill as I drummed them in thought. Where was Vivian?

I was going to die. The only question was how. A sound outside made everyone freeze. Not a normal sound. Not wind or animals or anything natural. A humming. Low. Resonant. Like the air itself was vibrating. “What is that?” Falcon moved toward the window. The moonlight streaming through the broken glass flickered. Like a light bulb about to die. But the moon didn’t flicker, it should be constant and still. Except it wasn’t. The light dimmed. Brightened. Dimmed again.

Something about a bridge being nearby is the only thing I can remember. Suddenly, the world swirls and I’m standing on that bridge with Kendric. “I fell off the cliff and then ended up here. Run while you can.”
