Midnight Sun Full Book Novels & Stories

He left the room. A fierce winter covered the forests with heavy snow-clusters and icicles, and filled ravines to their edges with drifts, so that the whole land seemed a single white plain. Great, sudden storms came, in which men and herds were lost under the pall of snow; roads grew misleading and perilous. A lonely Jaweldur howled in the distance.

Their eyes scanned the surroundings for any signs of danger, each step taken with calculated precision. As they reached the halfway point, the sun dipped below the horizon, and the chill of night began to settle in. The air grew colder, and a faint mist started to envelop the path ahead. Realizing the need for shelter, they decided to camp in a nearby cave, the darkness and cold making further travel impossible. Inside the cave, the flickering light of a small fire cast shadows on the walls, creating an eerie yet comforting ambiance. Zack and Petra settled down, the warmth of the fire a welcome respite from the biting cold outside.

I didn’t bother with an umbrella; it was a bit hot, but I felt lighter than I had in years. Even the darkest places eventually see the light.

Chapter 90 – The Fire Beneath The morning started like any other, quiet and serene, the sunlight filtering through the tall windows of the penthouse, casting soft, golden rays across the room. Clara had woken up early, as she often did when her thoughts were swirling, and she sat in the kitchen, sipping a cup of coffee as she skimmed through her manuscript. The book was moving forward in a way she hadn’t expected. It felt right, felt like a part of her story was finally coming together, and she couldn’t help but feel a sense of peace about her journey.

I tried to track her with my eyes but the crowd swallowed her small body. I got lucky that night because I secured a matress for me but for some reason the matress felt uncomfy. The whole night I twist and turn on my bed that's why the next day I am tired. I literally have no sleep. The energetic Sunshine is absent today. Sluggish Sunshine that moves like a 90 year old Grandma is present. I grab my breakfast which I honestly can't remember what it was and for the first time I did not finish it all. I have no energy to eat.

The midnight sun over New York did not shine. It judged. Ra's solar boat hung above Manhattan, vast and burning, its prow shaped like a falcon's beak, its sails made of daylight stolen from every dawn humanity had ever praised. The light struck glass towers and turned them into pillars of fire. It touched the Hudson and steam rose in golden sheets. It touched the wounds on Jack's body and made them hurt cleanly, which was somehow worse. Every shadow in the city fled.

Smirk sharp as shattered crystal. “Didn’t I give you one just as grand last week? What’s there to envy?” His fingers tightened on her waist, backing her against the wrought-iron pergola draped in jasmine. “Play your part. Don’t slip around Lena. Everything she has? You’ll have it too.” Now I remember. Five nights ago, crimson meteors streaked across New York’s southern skyline, a blood-magic spectacle. He’d texted: “Clan emergency. Working late.”

And now I'm ready for whatever comes next. I turn toward the tunnel exit. Toward the surface. Toward the people waiting. Toward my future. But as I take the first step, something shifts. Deep in the earth. Beneath the vault. Something ancient responding to the bonding. A presence. Massive. Old. Waking. Not the stone. Something else. Something that's been sleeping under Iron Valley for centuries. And my bonding just woke it up. --- **[End of Chapter 146]**

“If there were a book three, the title would be Dusk?” “Midnight is a transition, darkness, silence, the feeling of loneliness and loss. Dawn is hope, and if Dawn is as successful as Midnight, then the third book will be Nightfall, but it’s not exactly the time of day. It’s a locale mentioned in the book.” “Okay. No more spoilers, T.S. Prince.” “You’re not mad?” “About you being the author, and making me look like a fool?” He chuckled. “I wanna bite you right now, but it can wait until I come back from the trip.”

Moonlight came through the big windows. I moved to his desk first. Drawers were locked. I tried the bookshelves next. Nothing. Then I noticed a small painting on the wall. It looked different. I lifted it carefully. Behind it was a hidden safe. My heart raced. I tried numbers. My birthday. Nothing. Sarah’s birthday. The safe clicked open. Inside were papers and a small black book. I pulled out the book. My sister’s diary. Real leather. Her handwriting on the first page. Tears came fast as I read.
