The Pup's Midnight Vampire

The Pup's Midnight Vampire

I don’t even know how far I fell or how I was rescued. As I leave dinner and move to walk back inside the packhouse, the cold chill from nights ago hits me. The very thing that set that fateful night in motion. The sun has just set and the air is thick with humidity. I’ve gotten used to this climate which is all the more reason the cold strikes me as bizarre. My eyes move to a post that sits just in front of the door, the crest of the pack is burned into it. “The Midnight Protectors; Light in the Dark.”

The Winter Swan

The Winter Swan

She could still feel the exhilaration of running with Kail in the woods. Bright sunlight. A never-ending light. She smiled at the thought that perhaps this would last forever. Silje smiled often nowadays. She secretly wondered if the dark cloud in her heart would completely disappear one day. The white nights of July. It seemed like winter would last forever, but summer had arrived. The Scandinavian summer. “The white nights will begin in July. The midnight sun is a natural phenomenon that occurs in the summer when the sun remains visible during midnight. There will be various summer festivals…”

Rejected by the Alpha, Claimed by the Beast

Rejected by the Alpha, Claimed by the Beast

"It’s... it’s heavy. It stays under my nails. Kaima, it’s real!" I didn't stop. I drew a line across the horizon. *"I write a sun that isn't a lamp,"* I whispered. A pale, watery light began to bleed through the grey fog. It wasn't the blinding gold of the simulation. It was a weak, winter sun—the kind that struggles to warm your skin but reminds you that you’re alive. It cast long, honest shadows across the mud. **[WARNING: NARRATIVE DEVIATION DETECTED]**

Hunting for Midnight

Hunting for Midnight

That thought was quickly tossed aside because if that was the case, the noises I made by kicking in a window aloud with my own cries and outburst from dressing my wounds would undoubtedly have been heard. Curled up between the two chairs with my face barely sticking out of my sleeping bag, my eyelids feel weighted with exhaustion and the comfort of finally being warm. The small LED lantern is in the dimmest mode, sitting on the table beside me casting a soft warm light. I usually sleep best in pitch black darkness, but am not brave or crazy enough to sleep without a light turned on while I'm inside this abandoned building at night. The last thing I remember doing before passing out for the n

In Love With Darkness

In Love With Darkness

Chapter Five Jamie It’s midnight, and the rain is click clacking on my metal cover over my back porch, I sit in my swing with Helios cuddled up next to me with a blanket drinking my favorite blueberry flavored decaffeinated, hot tea. I absolutely love the rain, for some reason it gives me a sense of peace while the sunshine just makes me antsy and all over the place. Sundays are the only day I have both of my jobs off so this is my night to stick my nose in an Emily Bronte novel, or just relax, and kick back doing nothing.

My Alpha, Her Mate

My Alpha, Her Mate

I said, sounding frantic, and he looked at me, confused. "In my visions, there is no sunlight. The sun is not in the sky. Instead, there is a moon but not the one we see at night. This moon is different. It is creepy looking. It has dark vines wrapped around it. The lands are desolate, and that is because there is a lack of sunlight. People and creatures are at war. There is death, destruction and disease everywhere. " I said and then looked at him, remembering his part. I did not know how to tell him, but I knew I had to because he needed to know.

This is an excellent book - very well written- great story line that’s exciting to follow. It takes you through all the emotions - the highs, the lows, and lower and then brings you up. Highly recommend- just the right amount of love and romance - I couldn’t put it down! You’ll love the heroine!

Alpha Reid

Alpha Reid

REID The light coming in through the window the next morning is uncomfortably bright, reflecting off of the blanket of snow covering the ground. It must’ve snowed all night- we got several inches, and it’s just cold enough outside for it to stick. The significance of the snow isn’t lost on me. It means that Astrid’s vision of the battle with the shadow pack was accurate; that it’s coming to fruition. We’re officially out of time.

Loved Reid's book! Always wondered how different his story would be as he was the mlst perceptive among the five, and I'm not disappointed. Loving the pair with Serena, the Theo to Brooke, the one who challenges him to have fun and let loose. No unnecessary drama! Love your stories and your writing!

The King's Maiden

The King's Maiden

[ IN WHICH HE GETS HANDLED ] SIN'S POV: Daylight streams in through the windows. Streaks of light shine down on November's face. I watch her twist a little from the discomfort, so I lift my palms up, blocking the light rays, and after a few seconds, she settles back into her sleep. Her olive skin glows under the light, while mine shimmers underneath it, the painful sting causing the skin cells to awaken. Sunlight always complimented her beautiful, caramel skin, and it still beautifies it, even while she is asleep and unaware.

Sinful Nights

Sinful Nights

No one has found the bodies yet, though, so theres still a lingering hope out there that they're alive. I sigh as I crawl under the thick quilt, flicking on the lamo beside me as I pull out my latest find at Barnes and Nobels: The Winter Garden by the famous Kristin Hannah. This woman's books are truly amazing. Then, after an hour long reading session, I find my eyes beginning to shut against my will, so I set down the book on the bedside table and shut off the lamp. ~ The next morning...
