Midnight Tears

She gulped, her legs wobbling, "I'm so sorry, Bruce, I had no choice." She said, tears in her eyes.  His eyes were already red with fury. "Where is Elisabeth?" he asked, grabbing her arm.  She gulped, "She... she ran away." A tear slid down her cheek. He looked dazed, blinking confused. "Ran away?" he repeated.  "Yes, she ran away and asked me to take her place." She broke down in tears. He was surprised, wondering to himself, "Why did she run away?" "I don't know," she replied, the tears she had been trying to hold back pouring down in torrents. -     -         -  Marian is forced to replace her sister, who runs away with her lover on her wedding day. When my Prince shattered our Eternal Blood Vow for the ninety-ninth time, I dragged my drained, broken body to the Tribunal of Vows. "I am here to request the dissolution of my Eternal Blood Vow with the Prince of the Kindred." Ten minutes later, Damien stormed in with Isabella in tow. The Prince of the Kindred strode toward me, his hand shooting out to clamp around my neck before he slammed me against a cold marble pillar. "You'd go so far as to dissolve our vow just because you're jealous of Isabella's promotion? Has the bloodlust driven you completely insane?" My mother Eleanor's voice echoed icily through our bond. "Forging lab results to play the victim, all for his attention. You've always been so deceitful." Tears of blood welled in Isabella's eyes as she tugged on Damien's arm. "I'm so sorry, Seraphina. I never should have accepted this position. Please, stop putting yourself—and the Prince—through this!" I wiped away the tears of blood seeping from my eyes and faced the tribunal official once more. "I no longer have the protection of a clan. So that I may turn to ash in three days, please help me complete the dissolution ceremony."

"Whose child is this?" His voice was cold and icy, blood shot eyes drilling holes in her watery ones. Scared, she cowered back only for her back to met the wall. A sob of pure horror left her parched throat, her hands lifting up to shield her already bruised face. "I asked," He stepped dangerously closer to her, his hot breath fanning the back of her hands. His sandalwood scent which used to calm her nerves in past, today did nothing other than heightening her fear. "Whose." His rough hands yanked her soft ones from her face, before clasping her jaw tightly, his fingers digging in her bruised skin making her wince. "Child" He whispered deadly, leaning down till his stern lips were brushing over her quivering ones. Tears after tears dripped down her cheeks. "Is in your stomach?" His already tight hold had tightened in bruising manner, making her flinch hard. Her head began to spin in fright, darkness invading her vision. Her heart pleading for some miracle. That wasn't the first question, her husband was supposed to ask her on her wedding night.

BETH Is a good girl, with a little dark side. She has a thing for a bad boy. Her friends and her like to sneak out to clubs and illegal street races. Her and her friends go to a club, to dance every chance they get. And on this night they go to the club. They are having fun and partying unaware of what the night has to offer. “You fuckers, I thought you are genuine to me but here, I loved one person but shared by two, how hilarious” Amethysta shouted desperately while the Dempsey twins stayed silent. A pearl of tears streamed down her cheeks and blurred her vision in no time. Princess… Isaias stepped forward to hold her in his embrace but Amethysta stopped him and gave him a death glare. “Listen to us Angel, I know we made a mistake by fooling you all these days but believe us Angel, We love you” Icarus pleaded with glossy eyes. A blood-craving monster was pleading with a girl which is something unbelievable but true. “OK leave it, You fooled me because you two loved me, but you approached me for my father. Now deny it, will you?” Amethysta asked while wiping her tears harshly. Dempsey twins shared a glance and their silence proved the answer Amethysta wanted. Her words choked on her throat and the overwhelming emotions pooled out of her heart. “It's over between us, don't show your faces to me in the future” She threw a diamond ring and the chain on their face walking away. The bloodthirsty Alphas now bow to the queen of their heart who they played with. But none know what the future holds for them.

On our seventh wedding anniversary, Harrison Drummond arrives with the woman he's been seeing behind my back. Tears fill Kate McCauley's eyes. Before I even have a chance to speak, she drops to her knees in front of me. "Ms. Kershaw, love isn't about who came first or last. Harrison and I care for each other with all our hearts. Having her here is no more than adding an extra pair of cutlery at the table." With that, he carries Kate into the bedroom and closes the door behind them. He seems to have completely forgotten that today is our wedding anniversary. Does he even remember the other woman who followed him without status seven years ago? I stare at the glowing "Happy Anniversary" sign resting on the table. In that instant, I realize there is no future left for us.

She brushes her tears away as she opens her door slamming it behind her. Taking off her shoes and throwing them in frustration across her living room. She runs up the stairs and into her room. Letting her body fall in her bed as she grips the sheets that still has the lingering smell of his scent. She grips his pillow as she falls asleep crying in her bed.
