"You tried to kill Daksha?" Levi froze for a heartbeat, then nudged Micha, whispering, "This is… him. The one we've been reading about." His eyes betrayed a mix of awe and disbelief. "I know it's strange, but… he's… handsome." Micha blinked, trying to process the scene. "I was expecting a monster, centuries-old and terrifying. But him? He looks… lethal, yes—but strikingly human. Mikos tries to argue about this arrangement, but Levi lets out a warning rumble, telling his Gamma he has no choice and to shift. The sight is almost comical as Mikos reluctantly shifts into his red wolf. He mocked the big man. Levi smirked, “Very original.” He replied before he lowered his head to the window, “Does Mateo know that you are here, Mousy?” He took a jab at him. "Begin!" Levi shot his three arrows just as Arisa jumped back. Each landed a foot from the other with the first one landing exactly where Arisa had stood. He got three more arrows and lined them up on the string of his bow. He shot one arrow after the other. Arisa managed to block all three with her swords, but Levi had used this as a distraction and shot two more arrows. One snagged the cloth of the pants on her right leg and stuck it to the ground while the other did the same to her left leg.

I chuckled, too. “Okay, looks like this is everybody,” Levi said, staring around at the small group. “A few of you are going with me tonight,” he said, his eyes scanning the space, lingering on me for a beat too long before moving on. “Mica and Jeremy are choosing their tag-along first.” Mica stood beside Levi, and Levi said something to him that the rest of us couldn’t hear. For a moment, Mica’s eyes flickered to me, and then he nodded.
