Mike Hunt Novels & Stories

I can't bring myself to look in his eyes so I try not to look too guilty. "What’s he like?" she's wearing a smile, she's obviously happy for Ruby but that pricks my heart. "He's alright. He's… Lycan." "Lycan?" Mike repeats in shock. "Midnight Hunter's Pack? That's the last Lycan there is. I've been meaning to see one before I die." "Well you'll see him at the wedding," Simone grins. "Is this his scent on you?" I try not to tense up at his question but I meet his gaze and nod. "Do you mind?" he leans in and sniffs while I stay still for the evaluation.

The thought of that wiped the smile clean off my face. “Oh come on, cheer up. You’re gonna do great!” Melissa said, trying to bolster my spirits. She was always good at that and I genuinely appreciated the effort even though it wasn’t working this time. “I hope so Mel. I hope-“ the sound of the horn that announced the beginning of the Hunt stopped me mid sentence. I gasped in shock. “They aren’t supposed to blow it yet. They’re supposed to send people to make sure everyone is at their station” Mel winced. “I think they did hon”

I shook my head as this wasn’t making any sense. “The kills, they weren’t all vampires. Most of them were other hunters. I think this one is on the run from his own. But the fact he’s gotten this deep into the territory has Ductus Toño on edge, sending his men looking for him.” Diana explained. A hunter being hunted by his own? Well, shit, what could he have done to cross his people? Mistake one of a supernatural creature? It’s still not adding up. And honestly, beyond adding avoid the hunter to my list, I don’t see a reason to care.

His presence was like a boulder in a stream—commanding, unyielding, and utterly surprising. Her steps quickened, disbelief giving way to a smile that split her face wide. "Mike! What are you doing here in Denver, at the Coliseum of all places?" He met her halfway, a familiar grin stretching across his face. "I'm here with the Omaha Cattlemen. We've got a Wild West Indoor Football matchup against the Colorado Cannibals," he explained, his voice deep and resonant, stirring up a whirlwind of nostalgia. "Came in early—owner's idea. Thinks you and I can help each other out."

"He hasn't even acknowledged my signal from last night." Mike shrugged, looking a bit harried. "He’s been deep in some project. I don’t know the details, but he promised he’d be here. I sent him the location." "Okay... is it something with the company?" "I really don't know. Wolves need their privacy. We’re like brothers... he doesn't have to tell me everything." "I see. So who organized this massive hunt if the guest of honor is missing?" "That would be me!" Mike declared proudly. "And I handled the guest list, too!"

In the private lounge of the bar, bathed in the warm glow of amber lights and wrapped in a tranquil atmosphere, Mike clinked glasses with Finn, the sound laced with unmistakable excitement. "So? Feel any better now that you've beaten Hubert?" "Well, someone had to teach that idiot a lesson-make sure he knows better than ever to try hurting you again." Mike looked thoroughly pleased. He had watched the media gradually turn against Hubert, relentlessly pressing him for explanations about his recent troubles. Yet Hubert remained silent.

As the only son of Alpha Jonathon and Luna Elizabeth, he knew his responsibilities. The dreams that he had of becoming a Navy SEAL would never come to fruition. But as a medic embedded with the Marines, he still felt useful and had the opportunity to train with them. He took advantage of this every chance that he got. Wyatt found himself approaching the Silver Lake packhouse for the meeting that he had with Sirius during the Hunt. The opening ceremonies for the Hunt had already taken place and it was approaching midmorning. The sky was slightly overcast with the first thin bands of the hurricane coming up the eastern seaboard. It was expected to turn out towards sea and be clear by early to

Maddie stated. Melissa and Laura joined Christine in the ladies' room between songs. "Christine, do you know who that young man in uniform is that's so attentive to Maddie? What happened to Mike?" "Mike got all jealous and left. That handsome guy drooling all over Maddie is Jason Hunter. His brother is engaged to Nell. He's graduating from West Point in a few months. Mitchell seems to approve, and so do I. Maddie may have found what she's been looking for all these years," responded Christine.

Avery's words rendered Elliot completely speechless. "If that's the only reason you're here, then you can leave now," Avery said curtly. Elliot's face turned cold as he said, "That man who lives in your house is gay." The smile on Avery's face froze. "How did you know that?" It was impossible to find any information on Mike online. Mike was the world's most notorious hacker. No one was able to find out his personal information unless he revealed it. Elliot felt a sense of relief. "It looks like you already knew."

Jake nodded, too. "Do you still want to interrogate him?" Jake asked with a hesitant look. Mike took a deep sigh, then turned his head to the side. "If he's still covering everything up, why are we wasting our time? Besides, we'd better focus on finding Vincent Cox. I'm starting to get suspicious of a few people, including Zachary Smith and Heather Meadow. It just like, I feel like there are a lot of things hidden here," said Mike again. Jake nodded. Now, they have the same thing as each other, so they have to find another way out.
