Mike Hunt Novels & Stories

Mike must admit that working with Kayden Hunt had not been a jolly ride, but after treating the man as his friend and leader for such a long time and knowing the man had turned out this way because he was raised like an outcast in his own family, Mike couldn't help but sympathize with Kayden. Kayden had a way of caring for the people around him and ensuring their safety, and Mike was one hundred percent sure that he was the highest-paying boss out there. Mike was an ex-convict himself, and he knew how difficult it was for people like himself to land a job, a well-paying job for that matter, but Kayden had wholeheartedly given him his trust and had told him most of his darkest secrets. I doubt any of us would wish to know the outcome. “You did,” Miles argued, sitting on Mitch's desk. “What did the hunter want from you? Any lead?” I questioned, looking towards Mike, who hadn't said a word since he stepped into the room. He sighed at the question, walking over to his chair. I watched him, waiting for an answer the others didn't provide since I asked Mike, not them.

“Whatever it is, I think it is time we find out. I don’t want to be a sitting duck for Vex.” Duncan mind linked Mike to meet them outside the swamp off Sampson’s road in thirty minutes. Mike was the strongest warrior they had. Built like a tank, Mike showed no mercy against their enemies. He was also adept at torture. His viciousness a contradiction difficult to get your mind around while watching his gentle and loving interactions with his two daughters. It was reminiscent of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Whenever they needed information from someone, his talent was unmatched. Duncan’s POV

Alpha Michael taunts me with a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Alpha Michael, if my memory serves me correctly, you aren’t much of a fight.” I taunt back at him. The smirk only grows, “With four others, you might change your mind.” I realize that my assessment will be against all of them. Jax pulls me to him and gives me a quick yet passionate kiss. “Kick all their asses my fiery little mate.” Then he walks over and sits down in the last chair in the row next to Lucien, the hunt leader for the gamma team.

It was me who was the darkness in her life. Regret grappled my soul as soon as she was gone from the soon. The pack member miraculously healed faster than normal. It was the stupidity of mine to believe everyone except her. I sipped my wine absentmindedly as I watched over the trading list. Luke, my cousin walked over to me, a dead deer hanging over his shoulders. He had a habit of hunting like a human. He didn't stay in our pack house as the distant packs were assigned under his care.

No matter what, Michael wouldn’t be lasting much longer. The moment I got into my car, I called someone that worked for me, the person who handled all my dirty jobs. His name was Hunter and I met him during my time as a boxer. He was once a special forces soldier but he got dishonorably discharged. He worked as a mercenary for a bit and then quit due to its high risk. His name was Hunter. “You never call me for fun,” he muttered the moment he picked up the call. “I need your help. There is someone I need to get rid of,” I replied.

Chapter Eighty Luke’s Point of View I stayed at the house for hours, waiting for Mike to come home. I didn’t even know if he would or if he would be out hunting once again. Apparently, it's what he spends all his time doing these days. How did I not see how deeply he had spiralled out of control until now? Sure, there was something ‘’off’’ and I had my suspicions... Many suspensions in fact but... Why didn’t he tell me?

I’m not feeling cheerful, but it’s unexpectedly good to see them. Machines stop, weights clang, and three sets of eyes turn my way. I’m heading toward the free weights, but stop. No one said “hey,” or “hello,” or even “fuck you”, for that matter. “What’s up?” I ask, even though I have a pretty good idea. Mike moves forward. He’s the only one of the three who’s married. He should also be at work. “Are you fucking around with Danny?” Mike is the one who kept my brother and me from killing each other over Cami. He’s a big dude, with a bit of a beer belly and lots of hard muscle thrown in. He takes no crap on the field or off of it.

...Hunter POV... I felt like pulling out my hair. For what seemed like the twentieth time now, the Huntress, whoever she was, had managed to foil my plans. I didn't know who this Huntress was, but she was driving me insane. No matter what I did, she always seemed to be one step ahead of me. Earlier on, I sent my men out to capture another lead. We had been tailing him for a week and found an opportunity to grab him discreetly. He was a minister of the government and was known for taking handouts. Making him an easy target for Silvio.

They'd fed recently, Izzie noted idly as she watched the bright red blood creep along the tiling, making its way towards the drain. She hoped it wouldn't stain too bad before the cleanup crew arrived. Soon enough there was a knock at the door and Izzie's heart jumped. "It's us," she heard the low, gruff voice from outside the door and immediately recognised it as Mike, head of the cleanup crew. She stepped away from the door as he pushed through, followed by three other men, all moving swiftly as to not be seen. "Any word from Jake?" she asked as the four of them set to work almost immediately.
