Mike Hunt Novels & Stories

His gaze moved over the line of participants before settling exactly where mine had remained. Maeve. A growl vibrated through my chest. Cassian exhaled. “Ronan.” Darius glanced toward me. His smile widened. I turned my attention back to Maeve before I gave him a reason to lose his head before the Hunt began. Huntmaster Aldric Holt stepped between the two boundary lines. His ceremonial robes had been replaced by a long black coat. The same dark staff rested in his hand, its silver wolf’s head catching the moonlight.

“About that,’’ Mr. Montey opened the door, allowing me a pick for just a few seconds. I noticed Livy, lying on the hospital bed, talking to her mom. She was awake. She was fine. I let out a sigh of relief. “Mr. Montey, what is all this about?’’ I question, stepping forward. At this point, I was more than ready to tackle him. “I need to be with my wife right now, she needs me.’’ “Just like she needed you when she got shot?’’ He scoffed, looking at me angrily. “That was a mistake. No one knew she would jump in front of the gun.’’ “And no one knew that one day, the great Galen Grunt would be attacked with rotten eggs and tomatoes.’’ He scrunched, as he stepped back. “Especially not by women.’’

“Sir, I think you misunderstood something here. I'm not here to-” He cut me off saying, “Then why are you here?” He sighed as he continued, “You know that I'm not a common person to chitchat. Do you know that I came here to meet you in the middle of the meeting? And you're stuttering and mumbling something, wasting my time.” He opened the door and before he walked out of the cabin, he said, “Next time, prepare yourself before talking to anyone else.” I don't think I can find Brian's relatives through Mr Hart.

she retorted. My heart skipped a beat. Not because I didn't expect him to do that, but because it was too soon. “HXP?” I asked, even though I already knew what it meant. Hunt. Extract. Purge. “He said it would be the biggest the world has ever seen. He had started gathering his resources ever since Cassian's memories were first wiped. He said nothing to anyone until he made the connection between Professor Voss and the Lycan king. He knows Magnus had an influence on your disappearance,”

ALPHA TOM POV “Mike, I need you to clean yourself up. If you want to redeem yourself and solve this issue, then you need to eat regularly. You need to sleep every night. Frankie wouldn’t want this for you.” Mike Hill was a complicated man, but he was sharp. He missed nothing. When his mate died shortly after they met, he dove deep into his role as Gamma. That was all he allowed himself to focus on, but then Henrietta arrived at the pack.

' 'Nop' emphasising the 'p' sound. 'Fine.' I started filling in the paperwork. He could see I was frustrated and clearly acknowledged that he was the reason since I left the fucking deal with him. He suddenly spoke out 'Who’s the black hunter?' 'Why did you kidnap me?' I questioned almost instantly. 'Do you know the black hunter?' 'Who knocked me out?' 'Why did he kill at my club?' Martinez used the pronoun he. The most common mistake has anyone made but nonetheless I continued.

I tried to smile, but just felt sick. “Rig, don’t worry. We’re all in this now. Even Mack. He was worried when it took you so long to get here last night—don’t let his aggression fool you. He was blowing off tension he’d been carrying. So you don’t have to figure this out on your own. Tell us what to do. We'll do it. Nightly hunts for the Night Walker, fine. What else?” The problem was… I didn’t know. *****

He would have loved to fight Trent in lycanthrope form, but didn't want to risk some hiker seeing them and blowing their cover. “I'll handle the rival pack and the hunter. And don't you ever forget that I took the job as a policeman only to destroy any evidence of lycanthrope existence.” Nick said angrily. The council nodded. “If that will be all, then by the power vested in me, as the Alpha, I hereby dismiss this meeting.” Nick said and left. On his way out, Nick decided to kill two birds with one stone; he'd enlist the help of the hunter to deal with the rival pack, then he'd have the hunter arrested on a multiple murder charge.

"We are gonna show them that we hit where it hurts the most." "And what if they catch her?" Asked Jack. A young quite slender guy who had a scar on his right cheeck. He was an ex millitia and later own became a free lance mercenary. Some time back like three years ago he was bieng hunted by money laundering cartels after blackmailing them. He managed to kill three quarter of the team that was sent after him thus proving excellent survival capabilities. "Thats what we actually want. With that they will waste their time on a wild goose chase while we get more time to do our work. Simple as it gets", came Lucas's reply with a grin on his face.

I sat back against the metal wall, chest heaving, and touched the stinging skin on my neck. Stars…I was thankful I paid attention to military training. Now that they have my DNA profile. By morning, every hunter on the planet would have it too. I couldn't go back to my room, and I couldn't go back to the diner. I rested my hand flat over my stomach, feeling the ache settle down. I was out of options, but I was still breathing.
