I needed to be faster, sharper, and more precise. The sound of a high-end engine broke my concentration. I looked up to see a red Audi A3 pulling into the driveway next door. It was a beautiful piece of machinery—sleek, aggressive, and clearly a gift from Gwen’s wealthy aunt. Gwen hopped out of the driver’s seat, looking tired but steady. I caught myself starting to lift a hand to wave, but I stopped. She didn't even look my way. She just hitched her bag higher on her shoulder and marched up her porch steps.

Gwen's POV “Gwen, what are you doing here?” Mr Miller asked in confusion. "I had not seen you in the house since the morning, and you had not returned my calls," I said, focusing my gaze on Martha, who appeared to be grinning broadly. "What is she doing here, sir?" I asked Mr Miller, hoping for a reasonable response. "Don't worry, Sweetheart; I was just leaving," Martha said with a wicked side grin. She picked up her bag and before leaving, she turned to Mr Miller and said "Think about it James."

"Very good." Gwen had two more orgasms before we reached the mall. She directed us to her car. As she got out of mine, I said, "We'll see you on Thursday." "Yes, sir." She waved shyly to my two slaves. They wished her a good night. We were all thoughtfully quiet on the way home.

Two days later, Yvonne's men found traces of Gwen leaving Northerna City. Gwen had taken a long-distance bus to the city southwest of Northerna City. Her timing matched what Chuck told her. However, her men only found that lead. No one knew where Gwen had gone after getting off the bus. On the other end of the line, Yvonne's men asked, "I'm already in touch with my men on the other side. When we find Ms. Hawk, do we take her back?"

Gwen had been doing this deliberately, making herself seem lost and helpless, all to unsettle me, to wedge distance between Muriel and me. I needed to bring her to the Raventhorn Pack to make her remember the agreement we made two years ago. Gwen needed to remember her place in my life!

She pulls her hand away fast, the sudden coldness of her palm making her heart sink. CK notices the shift instantly. He covers smoothly, his voice raised just enough to carry if the window were open. “I’m glad I saw you walking home from the bus stop, Selene. Saved you a ten-block trek in those heels.” Gwen nods slowly from the window, her expression unreadable from this distance. She smiles—a small, hesitant thing—and waves.

Maya asked, realizing that she had not asked of him or gone to check how he was doing. Gwen snickered. "He's at the salutary's cabin. He should be fine," she replied. Nobody had helped green eyes to the cabin, and this morning, when Gwen had gone outside the pack house, she saw that he was no longer there, and she guessed him to be at the salutary's. "Alright," she replied without much bother about green eyes as she fell flat on the bed. "Gwen, I really do not know what to do. He's not talking to me and worst of all, he's avoiding me," she added in hurt.

Gwen flashed a bright smile as she greeted Damien, who acknowledged her with a slight nod. However, her expression quickly shifted the moment her gaze landed on Eva, transforming into one of pure exasperation. Crossing her arms over her chest, Gwen sighed dramatically. "You. What are you still doing here?" Eva, completely unfazed, leaned back against the couch and raised a brow. "When did you get back?" “I’ve been trying to reach you, but you’ve been ignoring my calls,” Gwen muttered, narrowing her eyes at Eva suspiciously. Then, with a knowing look, she added, “I knew I’d find you still here like this.”

Currently, I am depleting my time here as I enjoy the beautiful scenery in the middle of the night, randomly brooding and fetching fresh air. 'Hey! Do you have plans in finding your mate?' my wolf, Violet, inquired as I scrutinized the river in front of me with a frown. She knew I didn't want to discuss it very well, but she kept prodding me.
