Keon sat in the low glow of his gaming room, eyes glued to the monitor as his fingers danced across the keyboard and mouse. The rhythmic clicking echoed through the room, the sound of rapid-fire shots and explosions filling the air as he maneuvered his character through an intense solo match. On the screen, his avatar weaved through enemy fire, jumping between platforms and dodging obstacles in a futuristic, high-tech battlefield—a game that required not just skill but lightning-fast reflexes.

I silently thank the Goddess that I kept my thin shirt on last night, too exhausted to pull it off. I notice a scroll on the ground close to my feet. I pick it up, and unfold it carefully, revealing precise, looping penmanship: ‘Step into Trial number three, Where shadows dance and none are free. In forest depths, you now remain, Where strength and wit may bring you gain. The bands you seek are high and bold, Taken from hands now growing cold. Collect the most and rise with pride, Or leave with nothing, cast aside. The final game begins today— Only nine are left to play.

Most of the games were hand games, games played with little objects like stones and little boards. Mia's face squeezed with a frown, I couldn't help but stifle laughter. It was fun to see her uncomfortable, angry and courteous at the same time. Next time, she wouldn't walk into other people's space to threaten them or find trouble. “Bitch, I don't know what you are up to but you will not win!” she muttered through her teeth as we both stared at the board in search of a game to play. “Is that so?” My smirk drew wider.

I grab them and inspect them, pursing my lips as I read the descriptions. Would Soren enjoy these games? One is a so called ‘escape room in a box’ while the other is an intricate game of world domination and war. If the other games are too simple, then these must be a good way to keep our minds sharp, right? Right. Out of the corner of my eye, movement catches my attention. I look up from the boxes, leaning to the side to try and see what it was. Goosebumps slowly form across my skin, the back of my neck tingling from anticipation. I swallow the lump that forms in my throat and place the boxes of games inside the metal grocery cart, looking up at the solider.

MARIE The routine continued. I got tired of trying to fight the waiter. I never won any of my battles that way. I always win with my mind. So I had to think. But to think properly, I had to be of a sound mind, and I was far from that.

she added. “So, you are trying to tell me that people will be playing mind games with me? And that I should be prepared?” I asked them. “Amazing, you don’t even seem fazed by any of that,” Charles said. “I am not, I think people who play games give me a fighting chance. In that pack we never got a fighting chance,” I said and then looked at the chess board that was on the table. “The good thing about mind games is that it’s not the strongest or the smartest that wins. It’s the one that understands the game and is patient,” I said and moved a piece.

"Yeah, we’re lucky Rachel is beautiful and kind. Otherwise, with how sensitive you are, Lila, you would’ve been isolated ages ago." I let out a cold laugh. So, girls were too complicated, yet she was a girl herself. If she hated women that much, why not erase herself? I didn’t want to waste any more breath on them. I grabbed my clothes and went straight to shower and wash my hair. When I came out, towel-drying my hair, I picked up my phone and saw a transfer notification from Ryan. 5.20 dollars. I almost laughed. Seriously? I tapped to accept it, but before I could even finish typing a reply, his message came in, full of rage. "This was a test, and you failed. So it really is about money wit

She didn't have any close friends either and slowly as time passed she became a 27 years old who stayed at home most of the time playing on the computer or reading in her library at home. Like any other day, Su Lan was lying in bed watching her favorite drama until she received a phone call. She picked up her phone and answered only to get hollered at by her mother once again with a bunch of questions like: "when are you going to get a job", "why don't you head out", and etc. After an hour of the same routine everyday she finally managed to get off the phone call. Getting in a grumpy mood she grabbed the bag of chips next to her and saw an ad on her computer. The title of the ad was "the mys

Mimie explained. "That's not true. I voluntarily missed every pin. I thought you'd figure it out by now." she covered as Mimie dramatized an eye roll. "By the way, Mimie's adept at it, won't mind watching you two play." She discreetly nudged Mimie who blushed in understanding and embarrassment. "And mind you, Adam, this girl here is tougher than she looks. You might want to know she's terribly good at Scrabble, chess, and even video games." Gianna proudly smiled with a chest up high.

" She said and i felt scared about the whole thing. Oh heavens! Kelly was into the game already. She was looking alive and ready. Tala wrote something on the piece of paper and then wrote number one to ten on another piece of paper. I watched in curiosity as she tore each number and folded it. "This game is similar to pick and act, but it involves two participant." She added. She made us sit on the floor, as we all sat in circle. A bottle of alcohol was kept in the center.
