Out of ten lowers, only two succeeded. So I have a twenty percent chance of actually making it. This is where having brains sucks. I know my odds and they aren’t looking good. Not even a little bit. A loud bang resonates through the house, and I gasp in shock before running for my bedroom door. An eerie silence coats the hallway and shivers run up my spine. Something is seriously wrong and my brain senses are telling me to run. My survival instincts are much stronger than my fighting instincts. I h

The ghosts looked fully recharged, lounging around in small groups and staring at me with bright, expectant eyes. A cold, mechanical voice rang in my head. "Game completion reaches 100%. Congratulations on clearing the game, Player. You will be logged out in ten minutes." I froze and was utterly stunned that everything had gone by in just a brief blur. Though it was a horror game, it felt like I was just here working part-time. With a sigh, I put on my brightest smile. "Free hugs limited to one per ghost. Anyone?"

“Whatever organ you land on… will be removed.” Once more silence. Except this was deafening. It was heavy, and suffocating. My stomach turned. “And yes,” it added cheerfully, “you might survive. Probably, or not.” Someone vomited, probably from irritation The doll clapped again, ignoring the young man like he was just acting. “Let the games begin!” “The first mini-game is the BLIND TRUST GAME." The floor shifted, pushing us to the sides. A massive chessboard stretched before us.

Kieran was wearing a turtleneck and glasses, clearly aiming for an 'intellectual' aesthetic that just made him look like a Bond villain's accountant. "Ready to lose, Wheels?" Kieran asked, tapping his buzzer. "I am ready to participate," Cale said flatly. "Welcome to Mind Games!" Mira shouted into her microphone, stepping onto the stage. "Love isn't just about hearts! It's about heads! Today, we test your cognitive compatibility, your general knowledge, and how well you know your partner!" She gestured to the screen. "Three rounds. History. Pop Culture. And... Looking at those words, I smiled and replied, "I'll be there." The next day, I drew a small card at the company team-building event. It didn't say, "Thank you for participating." Instead, it read, "Today's Lucky Winner."

the walls are covered in oil, making it slippery. The game started and I felt rather annoyed to watch how my brother tended to Alyssa. He never once left her side. He was there to always help her and support her. "Tss. What a loser." In the end, we also won the second game with no one eliminated and we are down to the last thirteen packs left. The third game was a mind game where you need to use your brain to a total of fifty doors so you can leave through the exit. Gabriel POV I blink. How on earth does she know that? And as if she can read my mind, she splashes some water on me. "It's easy to read you, Gabriel. Let's start the game." Last time I checked, I'm an excellent poker player. I rub my face to clean my head from 'inappropriate fantasy' like she said. "Okay. What do you want to play?" "The game is called past tense." "Past tense?" "Yes. We're going to talk about our past. So it's called past tense."

And yet… she couldn’t forget the way his lips had felt, the way her body had betrayed he and--Damn it! Her phone buzzed again. ‘Keep going, honey. Remember all he’s done to you and never forget that your revenge is a must.’ Amira swallowed hard, her pulse hammering in her ears. Three months left. That was all the time she had to play this dangerous game. She turned the phone face down in her lap, forcing her expression into something neutral. He recorded the complex formation below inside his mind in a very short period of time and then began to evolve rapidly to solve the riddle. “I’ve been playing Sokoban and maze games for years… I never expected that the skill would come in handy here.”
