It's a drawing of the moon cycle with the center silhouette of a howling wolf. "How is a drawing going to help?" I'm perplexed. "This a drawing of a tattoo. Faris, one of the non-affiliated wolfs drew it. He said he saw it on a lot of the wolves who held them captive. We believe this is how they identify each other. It's always in blue ink on their forearm." Amelie hands me the drawing. "This will help narrow down who joined and who has been forced to help them. This is great!" I can't believe they are dumb enough to mark themselves. They are making it easy.

I paced around the room, trying to get myself and my thoughts together. "What would I do now? What am I supposed to do? What was I going to tell my dad or mom? This is fucked up!" I murmured, running my fingers through my hair. I went back to the mirror to get a good look at the mark. The mark was beautifully tattooed on my neck. It was a picture of a half-crescent moon and a large black wolf staring at it; its mouth opened as if it was howling at it. It was beautiful, and it complimented my skin. I knew the mate-bound was already strengthened. There was nothing that could break it anymore.

We sprinted across the street, the bell above the door of INK jangled aggressively as we walked in. The place was exactly what you’d expect, loud rock music, neon signs, and a guy with more piercings than teeth cleaning a needle gun behind the counter. He glanced up, taking in the sight of two women, "What can I get for you ladies?" the artist asked, a cigarette tucked behind his ear. "We do not do flash art here, and no, we won't tattoo your dog." "It's for a friend," Claire announced brightly, pointing to me. "She needs a small, single-letter tattoo. Very personal. Very delicate. Immediate appointment preferred. We're on a tight schedule."

Maybe the gods think I look pretty this way. A gasp escaped me as I turned my neck to get a better view. My fingertips brushed against a beautifully intricate design that adorned my skin. It was a crescent moon, its delicate details awash in an array of enchanting blue shades. Stars, each unique, encircled the moon like constellations painted by a celestial artist. At the edge of the crescent, a pitch-black wolf stood, head thrown back as it howled at the moon. My mate’s initials are written below the mark.

I am thankful he let me listen to that song. “Thank you… I almost forgot about those important details.” I bluntly said. He moves closer messing my hair making me grunt and gesture my hand, sliding it vertically to my neck. It’s a warning not to mess with my hair. “Oh… the tiger is now back.” I never mind what he was saying. I just focus on my drawing; maybe it will help me to find them. I picture out the tattoo I see on that bastard's left chest. It’s the only thing I can hold to find that tattoo. I draw a wolf eating the full moon looking up…maybe to praise the Moon Goddess or the opposite meaning? Devouring?

rubbing my head I see a mark on my arm. Laying my arm straight and focusing on it. The mark, is not a mark its a tattoo! The tattoo of a wolf head with red eyes and extra-long knife sharp k-9's. There is a design on the wolfs forehead and behind the head that reminds me of some kind of tribal design intricately woven in what looks like hair.

At least that plan was successful and mommy didn't find out it was me, I wonder what she'd do if she knew it, my whole body shake just thinking about it. I don't have much experience yet, I mostly get help with the excision of my designs but a little help won't hurt that's what mama said. I sat there anxious about getting a client until Tyson walked in, he was dressed in shorts and a T-shirt with big sunglasses on his face. Is he my client for real? "I thought no body can design for a little better then another little" he said before greeting mama with a kiss on the cheek and kiss on the cheek for me too.

I raised an eyebrow at him and tilted my head, trying to look indignant. "Yeah, you have no room to talk. But really, you couldn't even drop me a hint, Cuz? Me? That hurts, miniature wolf. And your mom, man!" Running Elk let out a nervous, choked-down chuckle. "Not quite the spirit I was looking for tonight. And to think she named you miniature wolf! No wonder you liked story-time so much. Did you pose for the covers? Oww, damn, Cuz," he exclaimed, rubbing his arm and glaring at me.

“We will be fine. We probably just need the right people in our lives… and get rid of this itch on my back.” I frowned as she hesitated before turning her back to me, wordlessly asking me to scratch her back for her. I couldn’t help but smile as I slowly unzipped her dress, taking in the flawlessness of her back and the tiny tattoo that was there right at the middle of her lower back. It was clearly an infinity sign, with a tiny drawing of the moon on each side of the loops. Extremely identical to the earrings and necklace I gave her. I opened my eyes to ask her when she got a tattoo.

A date, 12-08-1994, was etched beneath the wolf's heart. Other than that, I saw a vividly drawn skull. A large knife was plunged through the top of the skull and cracks on the skull were shown around it. In capital letters ‘FEAR NO ONE’ was scrawled around the knife’s blade. In the very center of his back, a large wolf’s head with a majestic crown sitting on top of it was inked into his skin. Beneath it, a map of the North was drawn. On the left side of his back, I saw a compass tattoo.
