‘Okay, okay. ‘I’m just resting, you should too’ I nodded. ****** The gray wolf approaches me, hazel eyes, Drake. He stopped in front of me as he checked his left paw. I walked to him and looked under his fur, and there it was, just as he told me, printed on his ring finger was a tattoo with the design of our rings. I ran my thumbs over the print, seeing it made me happy. He bent down and gently nudges me, telling me to get on his back.

“Your turn.” “I’m not getting a tattoo.” He shrugged. “Didn’t think you would.” “Oh, fuck you. Fine.” I settled for two small tattoos. One of a pair of cherries with a bite mark above my right breast. “Those yours?” He smirked. “Because I’d bite harder.” I rolled my eyes at him but the tattoo artist found it funny. I got another one. “𝒮𝒾𝓃” on my side, under my left breast.

It’s like a really faint tattoo without the ink. I shut the water off so I can look at it closely. It’s an infinity mark with a single vertical band running around the middle, and two dots on both ends of the band.

She is older than I am by at least ten years that much I can tell but it isn't her age that prevents me from looking away. Her hair is short, and the sides and back are shaved clean. The rest of her hair is tied up in a little ponytail. She has some piercings on her face, one on her left eyebrow, three on her right ear, one on her left, and a lip ring. She is wearing a sleeveless hoodie with loose pants and a pair of sneakers. Her left hand is covered in a sleeve tattoo that stopped at her wrist. I can’t really make out the drawing but I can see the slight outline of a wolf.

“Well then I’m going to get a big ass neck tattoo!” He immediately started choking on his bite of lobster and had to spit it into his napkin. “What?!” “Yeah. I was thinking of getting an owl right here,” I told him, touching the base of my neck. “The eyes would be right here, and the wings would go over my breasts. It would have a shackle around its leg with the ball being my belly button. What do you think? Pretty awesome, right?” He downed another glass of wine. “Y-yeah. Pretty awesome.”

In the middle of my back was Yggdrasil, the tree of life with a wolf head coming out of the roots. Finally, below the wolf and running down my spine was my name in Old Norse. In the middle of Yggdrasil’s branches, the Alpha sign of our pack was cleverly blended in.

"What the fu-" "The tattoos." I push the mass of doctors away from her and turn my gaze to her ribcage. There are several small tattoos, but each one is easily distinguishable from the others. The first in the line is a wolf's head with a number eight between the eyes. Next is an arrow, a dagger, two crossed arrows, a gun, and a target symbol.

After I shower, I opt for a wife beater and a pair of loose-fitting shorts. My right forearm is still scabbed over from my latest tattoo. Every time I look at it, I am proud that I now have my pack displayed on my body. It had taken me a while to draw out the design just the way I wanted it to look. It depicts a full moon coming up over a hazy horizon. A wolf's head with bright red eyes is baring its teeth as it emerges forth from the moons' surface.
