ISABELLA POV “Open the box,” I say my voice low and steady, I try to move forward “Mam, are you sure?” he frowns turning to me slightly “Open it!!” I say steadfast on my instruction. “Okay mam” he bends opening the box and revealing the dead rabbit. The rabbit head is severed and a letter with my ancestral logo on it, a lion head with red eyes placed on an envelope. I move forward grabbing the letter, and pulling it open.

My curiosity peaked, my eyes following her every movement. When she lifted the lid, I froze. Inside the box was a white collar, perfectly matched to the bunny outfit she wore. She held it up, offering it to me, her eyes locking with mine. “I am. I’m offering myself to you. Will you put it on me, daddy?”

Maria took the magician’s magic box from her earring. It was not as what we had imagined—nothing like the large, imposing vampire’s magic box from last time. I felt nervous and looked around, scanning the forest.

I sat down and spotted something hopping around. I looked closer and saw that it was a bunny. I gestured for it to come closer and it did. I carried it up and placed it on my lap, gently stroking its soft white fur. It looked like a mythical creature with its big beady eyes and small nose.

"Daddy, the little rabbit is dancing!" Seeing her so joyful eased Max's heart.
