Broken Mirrors of Truth

Broken Mirrors of Truth

Scarlet, determined to bridge the gap of three years, began filling Ezra in on the events that unfolded in her absence. With each word, Scarlet painted a vivid picture of the family's journey in her absence. The news of their grandfather's demise struck Ezra's heart, the revelation of his last moments waiting for her leaving a heavy ache. Ezra, choosing silence over words, listened intently, realizing she had no answers to the myriad of questions Scarlet presented.

A Sacred Place

A Sacred Place

“I’ll go find the key to your cell.” I kept my voice quiet unsure if there were others around, Peter either did not hear me or chose not to answer to consumed with his feast. I turned and walked through the hallway. I thought absentmindedly how dumb it was that whoever had built this prison had only one hallway throughout. If I ever was in charge of something like this you could bet I would not build it so an escape like mine would be so easy. I hadn’t even come across any guards. Again, either these wolves were dumb or severely underestimated me. I also had expected to run across Erik in one of the cells, after all, I was certain he was captured with us. Maybe he had already escaped and was

MY ALPHA BIKER MATE

MY ALPHA BIKER MATE

CHAPTER 88 BEATRICE'S POV There are promises that are more than capable of killing. I carried one such promise for more than two decades. And every time I look at Nova, it grows heavier. The summit lodge has quieted after the poisoning, but the silence is deceiving. Armed patrols circle the perimeter. Lanterns burn through the night. Guards challenge even familiar faces with passwords that change every hour. I slip into the deserted chapel at the edge of the lodge grounds, grateful for walls that don't judge. The room is small, built from mountain stone polished smooth by generations of hands and whispered prayers. A single candle burns before an ancient carving of the moon.

Alpha's Unloved Luna

Alpha's Unloved Luna

I looked in the direction he was looking to see the girl from yesterday. “Dear pack members, I am grateful to have all of you present here on such short notice.” He said. His loud voice echoed through the backyard. “This girl, Miracle, our Beta’s younger daughter, has committed a crime.” He looked at her as he said that, “She tried to play with the mate bond created by our Moon Goddess, and when she didn’t have it her way, she tried to kill my mate with the silver dagger here.” He accused, motioning for a warrior beside the girl who I now know was named Miracle, who showed him a dragger.

Dear readers, I'm so sorry for not being able to update for so long. I've been going through a lot in my personal life and wasn't able to focus on writing. I'm working on the new chapters and I promise the updates will start in a week. Thank you so much for loving my book and being patient with me.

Miracle is an appropriate name for her. It is a miracle that she survived to her 18th birthday. What puzzles me is why her parents didn't stop her older sister from torturing her since she was 8. It will probably be better explained farther ahead. All this and more, hints for a puzzling story.

Smoke and Mirrors

Smoke and Mirrors

She came back way sooner than expected. "I've been wanting to read this one," she shared in a small voice, shrugging her shoulders while walking back to the couch. Just as she sat down with finesse, held out the book with both hands, and carefully opened it, letting the pages cascade smoothly like it was some treasured family heirloom, and that was when he read the title he was aching to recall. Of course! "The Imperial Serenade," he mumbled the title out loud. "By the Lancaster Maureen Ethereal," Carylle continued with satisfaction. "I've been dying to read this since back then. My former co-workers have been talking about it a lot."

Tears' Curse

Tears' Curse

Melvin untangled the knot and pulled the cloth past her pinkish cheeks. Miracle furrowed her brows as the flood of orange warmth spread across her exposed lids. Holding up her hand, she blocked the sunlight and looked ahead. The serenity upfront instantly drew her feet closer to the edge. Far across, a rainbow stretched gracefully over the crystal-clear tarn, its hues intensified in the middle, shone by rays piercing through billowy clouds. Leaning against a sturdy pine tree, Miracle traced her fingers over its rugged bark, watching the sun's shimmering dance on the water. She was astonished. Though she had spent hundreds of years living in the sky, never once did she take a proper look at t

A gull glided in, skimming the water, dipping its head in and coming up with a fish that disappeared quickly down the bird’s gullet like a magic trick. After a few minutes, he made his way from River Street and back across Bay where it intersected with Jefferson. Walking at a leisurely pace, he wound through the City Market and then continued on past the Civic Center. He had no real destination in mind, eventually turning left onto Taylor and down to Monterey Square with the marble monument to General Pulaski at its center. The Mickve Israel Temple overlooked the square in all its Gothic Revival splendor. In the southeastern corner was the infamous Mercer House, formerly owned by antique dea

Lily explains to me and the frown adorning my forehead, deepens. My eyes move to rest on Miracle's face. The dark circles are encircling her eyes. Her face is all dirty and pale. Her cheekbones look too prominent. My heartbeat quickens, realizing the fact that she is going to die if her abilites don't start working soon. “ Miranda can fix this probably. ” Lily suggests and I snap my head at her. Miranda is a witch who lives in our pack boundaries. She is the niece of Amanda who is the Oracle.

A Bear's Mirrored Romance

A Bear's Mirrored Romance

This left the floor and lower walls in a growing shadow. The girls pulled out their phones and activated the flashlight options on them. That’s when they discovered the unique was the light reflected from the rocks. They appeared to twinkle. A little more investigation revealed a crevice in one wall. As the moon rose, its light landed on that very spot. Gemma, on a whim, set the book into the space and opened it. That’s when the magic of the moonlight did its thing. The words appeared. A handwritten cursive script lay revealed before them.
