I groaned again, flopping onto my back dramatically like a dead fish, just as a knock interrupted my suffering.
“Come in,” I rasped, though it sounded more like “c’minnnn.”
The door swung open, and in walked Mirabel wearing a pastel yellow dress and an annoyingly cheerful smile. She carried a tray in her hands, walking briskly across the room.
“Well, good morning, my lady,” she chirped.
I squinted at her. “Mirabel… please stop yelling.”
Mirabel giggled and placed the tray on my nightstand, “I took the liberty of preparing your hangover cure,” she said proudly, offering me a steaming mug.
