You messed with the wrong house

You messed with the wrong house

The two men burst out laughing and I wondered what was so funny to them, they didn't even try searching the room, they weren't security conscious as I thought if not they would have first checked if there was anyone else in the room,I was definitely right they just came to find me. "We came to see for ourselves the little missy that killed our folks but now I am disappointed in my men for dying at the hands of a kid, this is really embarrassing and we came all the way here just for this moment and now this is what we get she can barely even lift a finger". The man with a tattoo on his neck said to his colleague and I raised an eyebrow, didn't they come to kill me? What was actually going on her

Misfortunes With The Hated CEO

Misfortunes With The Hated CEO

Future stepbro, maybe? After a lot of thinking, I just changed the contact to “The Bringer of Misfortunes”. I don’t know what got to me when I wrote that. Then, I notice some unfamiliar names in Yu's contact list. Should I really keep this phone knowing there are personal contacts of his? I mentally note not to check his messages or anything that doesn't concern Gene. And if I want to start talking to my mom, maybe I should start creating my social media accounts like F******k or I*******m.

Sweet Bastard

Sweet Bastard

he rolled his eyes at the thought of Mitch telling Serena with a sweet smile not to call him sir. Serena laughed, " are you getting jealous Alex? Mitch is not what you think he is, he is a gentle man, sweet and friendly". Alex shook his head, he stood up and walked over to where she sat, his hands held her face to look up to him, so she could see the seriousness in his face, " iam a man Serena, I have come across many Mitchs, they appear all sweet and friendly, but their main intention is to get into your pant, I hate that you are too trusting, Mitch wants to fuck you, and that is why he had given you this job, they see people like you who trust quickly to be cheap and an easy prey!"

The Misfit Inn

The Misfit Inn

This unqualified defense and support. "We'll figure this out, as a family," Pru insisted. "I'm not sure what help y'all can be helping me find another job," Athena said. "Duh," Ari said. "You should work here." "Excuse me?" "She's got a point." Kennedy leaned back against the table. "The fact is, though we're called The Misfit Inn, we're actually more of a B and B since we only do breakfast. True inns offer full-service meals. We could make that switch. Amp things up again."

Hidden Mistakes

Hidden Mistakes

I defended, knowing it wasn’t entirely true. “I’ve made a background research on you Miss Mia Cruise and I know for a fact that this office is like your secret lair, you still mourn the puppy you lost to a tragic accident three years ago even more than your late father and you are a huge fan of De Brans bar and go there every weekend to get drunk,” he said and caught his breath right on time. I gave him a puzzled look which slowly turned into a wicked smirk. “I’m sure this is an invalid case in the court of law,” I said, resting my head on my jaw.

However, I was wary, "Why would you do that?. Wanda chuckled. "Easy, son. All of us here know what it's like to lose someone. If we can help, as long as it won't put us in danger, we'll help. We're all a bunch of misfits, but we know how to take care of one another." Her words touched a soft place in my heart. Misfits… more and more often lately, that was how I felt too. I didn't belong to any pack any more and I'd lost pretty much everything. This group was a bunch of outcasts, yet, I fit well here.

I adore this series. I had the privilege to read it a couple years ago on a different platform. It’s incredibly detailed with mostly likeable characters. Plus you get to follow the journey as they grow and develop over several stories. It’s well worth the time invested!

The order of the book is a little confusing, started out with a story about Ethan and Rosalie and mid way through it's like the story has jumped back to were the beginning should be. I love the story but this kinda has me scratching my head .

Fractured Mate

Fractured Mate

Nah, these were the leftovers, the ones who’d spent most of their lives dodging trouble or scrapping for a scrap of territory no one else wanted. They hung around the fire in awkward little clusters. Suspicious, jumpy, a few looked like they’d bolt if you sneezed too loud. Definitely not a team. Just a bunch of misfits, all carrying their own stories on their faces—some scars you could see, others you just felt.

Beautiful Mishap

Beautiful Mishap

I moved back, taking retreating steps backward. "You're despicable! How dare you think I did this? You.. it's all your fault. If I hadn't argued with you on Mishap day, I would've been normal" She pointed at me, throwing the slippers at me. I jumped to the side, dodging it. "Mishap day? Mishap day is a myth." I frowned She scoffed, folding her arms. "Well, look at us" Her eyes cast down to her private part. "How.. how are you sure that it's mine? What if it's someone else's?" I pointed at it. She glared at me in disgust.

Misrouted Courtship, Misjudged Mate

Misrouted Courtship, Misjudged Mate

At the gathering, Sherry Lark became increasingly emotional. Her eyes were red, and she was slightly tipsy as she held onto Ian Glover's hand while tearfully talking about her regrets of the past. She said, "I never imagined it was all just a misunderstanding. If I'd known, I would've handed you the scarf myself instead of leaving it in your desk drawer. If I'd done that, you wouldn't have misunderstood and thought I liked someone else!" Sherry's emotions spiraled out of control. Stimulated by the alcohol, her wolf became unstable, and her scent fluctuated chaotically.
