I had been going through them like crazy this last week. The older hunter had snuck up on me. Don't kill her yet, the advisor wants her alive!"

Take it, Hunter.” Hunter nodded, thanking Cierce for her concern. “Thank you, Cierce.” I stood by Hunter, feeling the gravity of the situation. “Be careful,” I said, looking into his eyes. Hunter smiled, touching my face. “I'll be back as soon as possible.” Our eyes met for a moment, exchanging unspoken words. A quick kiss on my forehead sealed the farewell before Hunter set off, accompanied by Garm toward the mountain range, ready to face Ignis and bring a cure for our children.

I asked anxiously, “We are facing powerful enemies and I have no idea how we can defeat those two! I never want those people to conquer the Midnight territory! I will never let them sell women into slavery and do atrocities against the people of this pack! We cannot let that happen, Hunter!” I saw Hunter’s eyes darken as he glared blankly at the white wall of the waiting area, “We have to find who sold us to those devils first…There is a rat inside our pack and I will find him.”

“The witches.” I couldn’t breathe, they were supposed to be coming for me, not him. How was I even going to make it back? I was in agony, my vision was blurring. His eyes widened, his body was shaking, his sobs became loud. I grabbed the gun that my savior was offering. I pointed it at the hunter. My eyes were watering excessively. I could feel the choke in my heart, knowing that they killed my mother and they would never revive her life again.
