Alison's body relaxes, her chest stops rising, and her hand goes limp. I hold Alison's lifeless hand, tears streaming down my face. Hunter looks at me horribly. “Now, you. Go!” He yells. I spring to my feet, driven by an unyielding resolve. The sudden surge of strength coursing through my veins is a mystery, but I harness it, letting adrenaline fuel my escape. I hurtle down the unknown path, uncertainty surrounding me like a shroud.
