‘My mate is truly mysterious. ***

*The message* Dr. Emma Taylor's eyes widened as she stared at the cryptic message on her phone: "They're watching me. I have to escape." The words sent a chill down her spine. It was from her sister, Sarah, who had been missing for weeks. Emma's mind racing, she replayed the events leading up to Sarah's disappearance. They had been arguing about their estranged father, and Sarah had been acting strangely in the days before she vanished. Emma had dismissed it as paranoia, but now she wondered if something more sinister was at play.

As if the place was made of crystals even were we stood. The place was bright not like the cave, it was beautiful indeed . “ wow, what is this place ? ” Elia asked. “ it's a magical place, the crystals are magical. It can show you anything you want, it can even show you the future and the past ” Cassie answered. “ wow really ” I said. “ you can try it out ” she said. “ come on Elia ” I said “ you go first ” she said. “ how do I try it ” I asked.

Deagan laughed, wiping the slobber off his face. “Misterio… Mist, for short.” Deagan eyed her strangely. “That’s very different, any reason?” Hazel asked and Aria smiled at the grey-eyed cuteness. “Misterios means Secrets in Spanish.” Deagan caught on easily while others remained in the dark, no one asked her to elaborate. “Well then Mist, come meet your uncle Aycin.” Aycin held his hands out and so he made his way down the table, receiving rubs and kisses. “Little attention lover, isn’t he?” Aria laughed at Deagan’s words.

I don't yell at females, I certainly don't do it with their kids in the other room playing an old beat up board game with Abby, but she is leaving me no choice. Miranda trembles in front of me. Her tongue comes out to continuously wet her lips and she looks between me and snake several times. If she ain't a junkie, she is definitely hiding something. Seems like it pertains to our club too. No one is that damn comfortable with bikers. "He's gonna fuckin kill me if I tell you where he is." She says with tears building around her eyes.

*too long* he replied and I nodded in agreement. *Mysterio* I texted and it sounded so right, I think it's a Spanish word for mystery. *Ahhh, I'm now your mystery guy, kinky* he replied and I laughed. *Well, it suits you* I replied then looked at the time it's almost 4 am. I have to try sleep so I can wake on time tomorrow, besides my airtime is running low. *I wonder why you want to save my number when in reality we might not chat again* he texted and it saddens me but it is true, I don't see what we would talk about in the future.

A clean, contained thing. I looked at the boy arranging marshmallows into a pattern only he understood. I looked at the man sitting quietly across from me, one thumb tracing the rim of his mug. I took a sip of the hot chocolate, warm and slightly too sweet and exactly right, and understood, for the first time since stepping off that plane, that the thing I had been escaping toward had already shifted into something I hadn't planned for at all. I wasn't sure yet whether that was frightening or the opposite of it.

Gem spits while standing beside mom who is shaking "Haahaa oh yeah we can see you need breaking in, well don't worry cheery pie there's plenty of us whos willing to oblige, and as for this chocolate muffin," he says nodding to mom "well i don't usually like them older but Mmmmm i think ill have a bite of this one",

As they stepped into the cool, damp air of the night, the rain had transformed into a light drizzle, misting the surroundings in a haze. The world outside felt lush and alive, yet ominous with an undercurrent of uncertainty. George led the way, Elora and Maya close behind, each step bringing them closer to a sanctuary that felt both like a refuge and a line crossed.
