Mark clapped his hands once, too loudly. “Okay. Ground rules. Celeste is sorting. Categories are: harmless, needs a reply, needs to be ignored, needs to be forwarded to legal, and needs to be burned. If anyone sets off the fire alarm, it’s coming out of your cut.”
Paul brightened instantly. “Burning. I like burning.”
Celeste reached for the box cutter, spinning it once between her fingers before slicing the tape, the blade catching the light like a magician’s trick. She cut through the first seam, slow and deliberate.
