Sarah’s Point of view: I stood frozen in the kitchen, my eyes fixed on Alex's sinister grin. How did he get in? The house is a modern luxury home with soaring ceilings and sleek interior design. The living room features a stone fireplace and plush furnishings, while the bedrooms offer serene retreats, each with its own unique character. The kitchen is a culinary dream, equipped with high-end appliances and ample counter space. It was a perfect sanctuary for me. It gave me the peace I needed.

As usual, I rode at the back of his car. “It’s good for your mental health. You’ve been secluded for months,” he said. “Just maximum of two hours will be fine,” I said. Without traffic, which is the silver lining of this situation, we reached Bobby’s house in no time. The house is impressive and it’s not because of its size or structure but the vibe it’s exuding. It’s very homey with a touch of modernism. It’s like those house in the suburbs that are always seen in movies set on a sunny day with all the trees and flowers visible to the eyes. It’s definitely not a building but a beautiful house.

Gabriel POV We pulled through the gates of the compound at eight fifteen. The Bangria residence was nothing like the Wrenfield townhouse in Crescent Harbour. This was a walled estate on three acres in the Highfields district, surrounded by reinforced perimeter fencing, monitored by thirty-six cameras, and staffed by a security team of twelve. The house itself was a sprawling modernist structure of concrete and glass, designed by an architect who'd been told to make it look like a home and had instead produced something that looked like a very elegant bunker.

She couldn't look away from the computer screen. "These places look beautiful." She complimented the images on the screen. The buildings looked surreal as if born out of a fantasy movie. "You think so?" Kendrick asked. "Of course." Hailey chuckled. "The layouts are great, especially this bungalow. It has a nice familial feeling." Among them all, the bungalow caught her attention the most. It was built in a modern style, all covered with glass. A small fence surrounded it and a swimming pool area took up half the backyard.

I admitted. “Oh, that house is across the country and too old to inhabit. Too many ghosts.” My head whipped over to him incredulously, wondering if I heard him right, “What?” “What?” he shot back humorously. The house up ahead was a picture of modernity, and the very best of it. It was built into the base of the damn mountain! “Is the inside carved out of mountain rock?” “Wouldn’t you rather see it for yourself?” he glanced at me from the corner of his eye with a raised brow.

I put on a blue below-the-knee off-shoulder dress and flat sandals before going out. Our house is huge while there’s only seven of us living here. In fact, a hundred people could fit in here. We are surrounded by gold furniture. My parents just love gold very much, obviously. The design of our house is a somewhat modern version of a vintage design. Almost similar to the house designs I saw on princess or fantasy movies. This place is literally a palace, a castle, but a modern one. We have elevators for easy going up and down and other advanced electronics.

“We have to get to Warfang.” Nelson nods. “I understand.” We walk to a part of town I would have been chased out of a year ago. The houses we pass along the way look a lot perkier than they did when I was living here, and the whole town seems to have shaken off the mud and turned itself proudly toward the sun. We stop at a new house, one I don’t recognize, that has two floors and cheerful window boxes. The door bursts open, and my mother comes running out.

I didn’t even think such architecture existed in the real world. Only Maxim would have such access. The home featured a contemporary architectural style with a mix of natural stone, glass walls, and wooden ceilings. There were large floor-to-ceiling windows wrapped around the main structure, allowing for expansive views and a strong indoor-outdoor connection.
