I Married My EX

I Married My EX

The journey into Magdalene's past had only just begun, and with each revelation, the bond between guardian and seeker deepened, casting a veil of enchantment over the humble abode that harbored ancient secrets. As Jette delved into the mysteries within the old leather-covered book, the quiet of the secret room enveloped her. The flickering candlelight danced across the arcane symbols, casting an ethereal glow upon the pages. Lost in the ancient words, Jette traced her fingers over the textured parchment, unraveling the secrets woven into the tapestry of Magdalene's lineage. Unbeknownst to Jette, the air in the room shifted, and the subtle rustle of fabric signaled Magdalene's presence. The g

Falling, Fallen.

Falling, Fallen.

This didn't go unnoticed by Roy and his lips thinned, fingers pausing from turning over the pages—to see Monroe smirking slyly. Roy avoided the deliberate probe from Monroe, sneakily shifting his chair closer to Jeremy, so that their arms brushed each other—whenever they moved. Jeremy, unaware of Roy's doing, decided to take out his own book for studying. A book with black cover, fairly thick and very warmly coloured illustration of a man in ancient greek clothes, adorned the front. Translated by Mary M. Innes, Ovid's Metamorphosis, it said. Monroe took a glance at the book, Jeremy put on the table and curiously propped up from her seat, to read the title.

Lurking In The Dark - Book 1

Lurking In The Dark - Book 1

I could only hope that she would have settled in again by tonight, because otherwise I would be allowed to sleep on the couch one night again - and it was really uncomfortable. Sighing, I leaned back and opened the completely tattered book again, which I actually already knew by heart. But I wanted to repeat as much as possible today so that I could get off to a good start tomorrow. I ran my finger over the familiar table of contents. Foreword, evolution, instinct, social life, physiology, reproduction, ancestry, stem groups and subspecies. How many times had I made this movement with my finger? I couldn't count it anymore, but it was like a little ritual I had to go through before I could s

Book 1: Luna Returns

He mindlinked him, and he nodded, sniffing. "What the fuck is going on here?" A familiar voice asked behind them, making Hashmuk let go of Rasmore. The person standing behind them was the person he was crying for, thinking he had left him. It was Kelvin, with a pile of magic books in his hands. He and his friends smelled like they were coming from the sewer.

Lurking in the Dark - Book 2

Lurking in the Dark - Book 2

"I know." Reese lifted his leg and knocked my buttocks with his knee. I gave him a pat on the arm for it, but before we could really start fighting - not that we ever did - a man in his early thirties stepped out from between the cubicles and came up to us smiling. He wore glasses and had his hair cut so short that I couldn't tell whether it was dark blonde or brown. He seemed to have a slight posture, which he hunched a little, but wow, the muscles that were visible under his sweater certainly didn't come from chilling on the couch. "Hi." He nodded to me and held out his hand to Reese. "I'm Anton Faust and you have to be Reese Tack, the Venator from the guild in Berlin."

The Ninth Cipher

it raised one hand toward Adrian. "When the final page arrives..." "...do not search for the perfect ending." "Search for the honest one." Then... it disappeared. The Gate closed with a sound like the final heartbeat of an ancient world. The Archive returned to complete silence. Only Adrian, Elias, the First Reader, the little girl, and the blue book remained. On the cover of the blue book... a new title slowly appeared. THE BOOK OF POSSIBILITIES Far away... beyond every world... beyond every Door...

Lily’s Realms: Secrets of Magic and Destiny

Lily’s Realms: Secrets of Magic and Destiny

Luke met him instantly, their wings colliding like storms of silver and shadow against blinding gold. Lily clutched Luca to her chest, instinctively wrapping her arms around him. She felt the baby stir, sensing the tension and power. Sparks of energy burst from him, arcs of gold and crimson striking against the golden aura that surrounded God. “Stop,” Lily whispered to Luca softly, almost instinctively. “Stay calm. Help me.” The baby’s tiny hands glowed, and the aura around him pulsed outward. The energy connected to Luke and Lily, feeding them both strength, pushing against God’s influence.

The New Age King // Book 2

The New Age King // Book 2

Authors Note: The Human is book number one. The New Age King is book number two. I highly suggest reading book one before reading the sequel, but if you don't want to you can manage the second without doing so. The one big thing in the first book was Goddess Selene's curse. She cursed all lycans to be born in wolf form. Their first shift wasn't until the age of ten. Thank you so much for reading. "Please, Selene, slow down. Where are we going," I ask as the Goddess in front of me practically sprints down the wide corridor?

Great quicker read overall. There were unexpected plot twists and well developed banter throughout. The author brings life to different attitudes that aren’t commonly written into novels, which I loved. My only note is that I WISH the author would write more about the lives of Sara & Tab’s pups!

Moonlit Pages

Moonlit Pages

"If I could use this, it could really make Galen lose his mind." "I heard that." Zoren popped out right behind her. He glanced at the floating book and nodded. "I see, you are beginning to learn a few things." "I do not have any idea how I did that; it just floated like that." "So, what do you plan to test out then?" he asked. "I don't know; maybe I will try to make it rain; who knows?" she joked. She pointed at the line written on the page and carefully read it. "Ashanyati Bulan, icrim lanum."
