He asked in a teasing manner. She wanted to throw her macaron at him, but recalling Agathus’ warning voice she held back with a frown. Alastair was glad to see that Alexis didn’t return his behaviour with a smile. ‘I should give Agathus that bonus’ he thought with a smile. ‘But more importantly…’ he frowned, knowing how difficult goblin infestations were to control. Countless deaths had been at the hands of those extremely small but strong beings. A goblin was the result of a feral dwarf. They lose their mind and shy away from the sun and then their skin changes colour and they attack any humans on sight.

They ate and kept eating until they were full. They laid on the floor and rested like they haven’t done in a long time. Then suddenly, the ground rumbled. They bolted outside not wanting the building to crash on their heads. A dozen goblins stood before them—giants in silver armor, easily three times their size. Their skin was like tarnished bronze, their eyes yellow with slit pupils. Their weapons were brutal: serrated axes, spiked clubs, twisted spears. The one in front bore tusks curved like sabers.

My energy was draining fast, my body craving food, my mind clouding with doubt. I stumbled to a clearing when the earth beneath me rumbled. The ground cracked. Then came the Black Goblins—dozens at first, then hundreds, their black, ashy skin glowing faintly under the pale light. They hated sorcerers, always had. Unlike the White Goblins, these creatures were pure hostility. They formed a ring around me, baring teeth, hissing threats. One stepped forward—taller than the others, a crooked crown on his head. His voice slithered through the air like poison.

“What is that thing?” The monster was a large bear-like creature with horns and stood on two legs. The abdomen was a bit slim in comparison to its really muscular arms and legs. It looked out of proportion with how different their sizes were. The horned bear let out a menacing roar. “It looks like a goabear. But something’s different. That thing in its chest.” Jean said as she stood up. It was as she said, there was an ominous blue glow in its left chest. From the Hunters’ perspective, it was really condensed with mana. As if the goabear was overflowing with power.

Moka explained in her nasal voice. That was another thing Germaine noticed. Where Zar's voice was smooth and normal, the other goblins had nasal voices, as if they had something stuck inside their nostrils. The male goblin was hairy with overgrown beards decorated with beads, bones, and teeth. Both male and female were short, with bodies that rose not taller than her waist and wrinkled skin like it wanted to belong on a taller person but had to make do. Yet, what they lacked in height, they made up for in strength.

But near the north door, there is a stairway going up but it's blocked by rubble. Marika runs and opens the northern door and gasps. The light of my lantern streams into the doorway and revealed a huge, muscled monster stooping over. He holds a massive spiked club in one hand and a melon-sized rock on the other hand. It's an Ogre. The Ogre smiles a jagged tooth grin, “I've been expecting you. I am your humble king, Gobler.”

With another raise of my hand, the houses in the city caught fire. Smoke rose into the clouds, the grounds shook. After I was done, a place called crest would cease to exist. I heard a very loud growl and looked up to see a gigantic monster, being released. It was coming for me no doubt. It's eyes were burning red and it looked like a hybrid of a dragon and a goblin. It has horns and it's scales were black. It spat a ball of fire that burned everything in it's path. It would destroy the city but make sure it destroyed me too.

They just kept humming and pounding their weapon on the ground like a savage tribe. ‘So this is like a match to them?’ The Boss Monster raised his halberd at this point, his silent growls growing louder by the second. He pointed it at Rey, then struck the ground with its blunt end, as if conveying a message. ‘So they’re intelligent too. I should have guessed.’ However, compared to the Hobgoblins, these monsters were unimpressive. The Hobs would have used their numbers and strength to come up with better strategies than what these idiots were doing.

Zoranna and Luna both looked at him as they waited for Xolvion to expand on what he had said. "As you already know. Monsters can evolve into a better stronger form of their species, depending on their strength and experiences. A normal goblin would evolve into a hobgoblin for say." Xolvion explained, getting a nod from Luna. "Yes, I am aware of that master," Zoranna said, happening to be a monster herself, even though she was born a vampire. "I believe that this little goblin is in the top tier of her species and will prove useful once fully grown." Xolvion then said, getting a nod from both Luna and Zoranna.

His naughty finger intruded the treasure trove, and Gristel quivered and bit on his ear. "Ouch." He shouted, grabbing the ear, and murmured in sudden realization, "Fuck! I am also an elf?" Gristel covered her mouth and giggled, "Ah no, your highness! You are a Goblin." "Ah! Goblin!" He shrieked. Goblin, in the mythology of earth, is a hideous-looking, greedy, vicious humanoid creature. He checked his arms and muttered, "They are not green. Why? Whatever, it's just a dream."
