Monster’s tone was brimming with feelings of defeat. Jay’s treatment toward him made him feel that all his previous plots were so ridiculous. He thought he was like a malignant tumor that Jay had feared for many years. Unexpectedly, he was so insignificant in Jay’s life. Jay replied light-heartedly, “Sorry, I’ve been busy.” Monster felt hurt all over due to his ignorant tone. “Why did I lose? I truly do wonder if you were the one who lost instead, would you still speak in such a tone to poke fun at me?”

I have to have more, but before I get the chance to get what I want, I’m being kicked and sent flying. My body slams into the ground, knocking the wind out of me, but before my opponent can attack, I’m up and moving again, but when I slam into the wolf in front of me this time, I feel something in me shift, and it’s like my power is disappearing completely until I’m left staggering backwards in confusion. ‘Maverick,’ I hear again as the wolf stares at me with pleading eyes. ‘What’s wrong with you?’ What's wrong with me? There’s nothing wrong with me. I’ve never felt so alive in my life, and it’s all because I got to taste the sweet taste of blood, but now that I’ve tasted it, I want more.

I moaned when he leaned in, taking one of my nipples into his mouth. “Rael!” I gasped, taking in rapid breaths as his hips collided with mine. My eyes rolled back, and I felt my eyes moisten. Not because I was hurt. Not from pain, but from something else. Pleasure. Pleasure I'd never felt with any man. I'd given my first time to this man, and now it felt as though I'd turned into a complete sex freak because of him. He looks disgusted, and it blows my mind when I realize his face speaks of someone who hates themselves. “I’m a monster...”

Aina pov: I was almost at my front door when I heard a low growl behind me. I spun around, and there it was - another monster, just like the one from the train. This time, I was alone and unarmed. And it was coming right at me. I stood frozen for a second, not sure what to do. But then, something inside me snapped. I could feel my body changing, growing stronger and more animalistic by the second. It was like nothing I had ever felt before.

He was bending down in front of me, his face only inches away from my own. “One tear, one lash” I yelled back, trying my best to keep my voice sounding strong. Even though all I wanted was to cry. “Again!” he roared, his hot breath bashed against my face as he screamed, “One tear, one lash” I screamed back loudly. “What are you?” he demanded, “A monster” “What are you?” “A monster!” “And what do monsters not do?” “Monsters don’t cry” I yelled as loud as I could. “And why don’t monsters cry? Tell me beast, what’s the rule?”

That night, the doll suddenly activated. Its soft, stuffed arm shot straight into my throat. I jolted awake, clawing at my neck, trying to call for my mother, but no sound came out. By the next day, I had a raging fever and couldn't stop throwing up. I cried, trying to tell my mother what happened, but all that came out were broken, garbled sounds. She tossed me a pack of cold medicine. "If you can't even talk, then be quiet for once. I'm exhausted after work."
