The monster landed heavily on the ground, unmoving at last. The officer let out a sigh of relief. However, in the very next second, the monster leaped up again and glowered at Ryder. Ryder gripped his rifle as spirit energy emanated off his body in waves. The monster glanced at the super cannon and let out a growl before turning to run. It leaped toward the mountain, disappearing into the trees. Ryder flung his super cannon to the side at once, charging after the monster as he shouted, "Keep my rifle safe!"
