‘This is justice. Lucien stood up, his legs shaking, his face pale as death. He drew the great sword from his back, the blade gleaming with an ominous light in the chaos. The Sword of the Moon. The only weapon capable of touching a divine vessel. The moon goddess had left it before disappearing into thin air. He walked forward, step by agonizing step, against the pressure that tried to push him away. “Aurelia!” he called out, his voice raw and broken. “My love! Look at me! Please!”

Their eyes met. Gold. Fierce. Afraid. For her. A word slammed into her mind with the force of a falling star. Mine. Her breath hitched. And deep inside her, something ancient opened its eyes. The pain surged— —and Lena screamed as the red moon burned her world into something new.
