**The Silent Treatment** Elder Thorne stood beneath the ethereal glow of the moonlight, his heart swelling with both reverence and awe as he faced the moon goddess, a divine figure of unmatched beauty and power. Her silvery robes flowed around her like a celestial waterfall, shimmering gently as the soft breeze rustled the leaves overhead. Her eyes flash silver-white when power rises unchecked. Her blood hums with silver light when cut.

Amara's POV The moon, a heavy, swollen orb of molten gold, hung in the ink-black sky, radiating an almost sentient glow. It felt less like a celestial body and more like a silent, all-knowing presence, aware of the profound, sacred event that was about to unfold. Its luminescence streamed through the large window of the guest chamber, painting the familiar room in hues of silver and shadow.

Shadow growled. “Oh, please don’t yell, you’ll wake my grandpups and they’ve been through a lot. I am Storm’s mother, Selene. And yes, I am THE Moon Goddess.” She rolled her eyes. “Okay, so if you are the Moon Goddess, prove it.” Shadow demanded. Selene glared at Shadow and huffed. “Shadow and Jennifer Collins. How are your pups?” she asked. “How are Spyder and Spencer? Isn’t their mate expecting along with her cousin?”
