The wings did not have fur and looked like something that you would find on a gargoyle. It had a distored looking human quality to it's face which was alarming. Her body was clad in pure white robes and a silver crescent moon shaped headdress adorned her hair, symbolic of her power, but the most remarkable feature about her was the pair of pure white wings extending from her back that appeared not to be made of feathers but of pure light. “Selene…” the words came out of my lips in an almost inaudible whisper, but Clay’s arm tightened around me as we face the Moon Goddess herself. Everyone seemed to be stunned into silence before they fell to their knees in worship, chanting words in a language I couldn’t name. Suddenly, a spirit moth, its wings shimmering like captured starlight, emerged from the fading sun. It had wings that sparkled like stars. Beautiful and mysterious. The moth landed lightly on the flower petals. Its glowing wings shined with the sunset. It didn't leave. It just rested there quietly. Like it was guarding the simple monument. An intricate crown wraps around the moon and the deep royal blue and silver color stands out beautifully on her golden skin. I tear my eyes from her mark and look at my own. It is nothing at all what I thought it would be. Instead of a wolf, there is an angel with her wings and arms thrown wide, her hair is fanned out like the wind is blowing. Silvery blue flames swirl around a flowing dress with a silver crescent moon behind her. Gold wolf eyes stare out from the half circle of the moon, and the angel herself is navy blue with light blue wings, much like Divina's own.

The shattered moon was no longer a celestial body; it was an archipelago of bone-white rock and radioactive cobalt drifting in a chaotic, low-gravity dance. As the thousand gliders of the Union approached the debris field, they looked like autumn leaves caught in a gale. There was no air here to catch their wings, so the "Silver-Eyed" children took over, using their connection to the planet’s magnetic wake to "tug" the bronze-wood shells toward the largest lunar fragments.

The floating cloud outdoor was a faint shade of ocean blue with the sun smiling so brightly from its highest point in the sky which had caused her to shield her eyes slightly, still heading towards the packing lot where his car was parked. Aria felt weird walking directly under the sun again which was a common reaction after she had to stay bed ridden for so long and away from the sun as well.
