Selene (Greek Mythology): Selene is the Greek goddess of the moon, often depicted as a beautiful woman with a crescent moon on her head, riding a chariot across the night sky. She is the daughter of the Titans Hyperion and Theia, and the sister of Helios (the sun god) and Eos (the dawn goddess). Selene had many romantic liaisons, the most famous being her love for the mortal shepherd Endymion, whom she put into an eternal sleep to keep him forever youthful.

I regretted being a blind, naive fool who traded her pack’s legacy for a deceitful smile. I worry that doing so might make me feel like I am betraying the memory of Luna Bella. The Moon Goddess, a divine being known for her ethereal beauty and grace, gazed upon the world below with a tranquil expression adorning her face. I sighed, finally piecing the puzzle together. “Even after the war, the tattoos remained in our pack as a revered tradition and it's been saving our lives since then” She shrugged as though she hadn't just shared a secret of an extinct pack.

"It's very popular among pack members," said Beta Liz lifting her sleeve to show her tattoo of a moon and star. "It reminds us that we are all children of the moon goddess. Typically pack members like to get one after their first shift as a sign of loyalty to the pack and the moon goddess." "Sounds like a bit of a cult," Dante said bluntly. "That's why I'm against the idea" Fiona admitted "but the idea took root despite my best efforts to stop it. Pack members are free to do with their bodies as they please.
