Leora nodded, her hands shaking. “Yeah. Thanks.”
Liam surveyed her quickly, stopping over a cut on her arm that was barely a scratch. “You are bleeding.”
“It is nothing,” she said hastily, brushing him off.
The two were then suddenly interrupted by the movement of the last remaining rogues that had decided that it was enough. They slipped into the shadows, their snarls fading away.
The forest grew still again, save for the two warriors' breathing, which was still ragged from their dueling bout.
