Heavens be blessed if I don't unleash on the person. I see the gates of the palace from the horizon and I seen to go even faster than ever. I'm home again. Night has already fallen and there's a bright crescent moon in the eye. I halt in my steps as I take I look up at the sky, at the moon. One day, many yars ago, when I had enjoyed one of the many evenings where my mum told me moonlight stories, she'd whispered to me. “The crescent moon is so pretty, isn't it?”. I'd looked up at the sky and smiled, raising a finger to point at the glowing shape. She has smacked my finger down and chided me softly.

“Unfortunately, I don’t think I did.” “Okay, cool. We are starting strong with an ominous warning. But can you tell us this without the riddles this time?” “I can only give you what I’ve learned. Every text I read is a riddle.” “Yeah, I get it… don’t shoot the messenger,” Callen gestures with his hand for Ronnie to continue. “Everything we know about the Moon Goddess comes from stories passed down through generations. Most packs have their own versions. Some embellished, some missing pieces, and some contradict each other entirely.”

The last few whispers died down as students leaned in to listen. “Today, we’re delving into the fascinating world of folklore,” she said, gesturing to the screen behind her, which displayed the title of her lecture: The Moonlight Festival: Ritual, Myth, and Community. “The Moonlight Festival,” Elena continued, pacing slowly, “is one of the oldest celebrations in this region, rooted in traditions that date back centuries. It’s not just a festival; it’s a story - a narrative woven through generations. And like all great stories, it evolves with time while retaining the heart of its origins.”

My hands have calluses that no seventeen-year-old girl should have. But I do not complain. Complaining only makes things worse. she said, her voice tinged with a laugh. "Exactly," I said, trying to keep the slight irritation I felt from my voice. "There's another full moon tonight. Maybe there's something to it." The man leaned closer, his eyes lighting up with interest. "My Pawpaw used to tell us stories about those creatures," he said. "Said they had a code, that they wouldn't harm humans unless provoked."

Right now, it felt as if it was us against the world. I could feel how stressed he was for I was too, so I hugged him closer. His delicious scent calming me as mine did to him. “You told me that there were four of these magical creatures right?" He first asked and I nodded. "I do remember my mother once telling us a story of how she met the White Magical Lion. How he is the one who created the first Moon goddess and had that power passed down her family line.” Luke whispered to me as he continued doing his own thinking.

Emliys pov: Aunty Suzie ,then interrupted us ,By calling Drake and James to the kitchen .I and Eva looked at each other ,What is aunty up to to .Then Nam told us that its an old Chinese tradition that newly wed couple or lover make mochi for their beloved ones . I started internally giggling Drake and cooking ,Omg its going to be a disaster .I have never seen him cook or even enter the kitchen and he is being asked to cook man that too mochi he is so much in trouble .

With his back to the boys, he sighed and asked, “Do you remember the bedtime story I used to tell you about a man who belonged to the Wolf Clan?” “That unbelievable story about a Legacy with the power of a Moon Wolf?” Jack wondered what a story for kids had to do with the current situation. Not only were Moon Wolves extinct, the story itself was so unbelievable that Jack and his brother had long regarded it as their father’s most creative story yet. “What story?” Davies asked. This was the first time he was hearing something like this, and he was interested in more than a brief overview.

The two pills were in the shape of a full moon and it reminded him of the story Nathan had once shared when they were still a child. “Hey. Have you ever heard a story called ‘Moon Lovers’?” A child-like voice rang into his ears. Chris turned around before shaking his head innocently, “What is it about? That ‘Moon Lovers’ story?” Five-year-old Nathan grinned before he pulled out a picture book from his bag and flipped open the page, “The story was about the moon and a normal man.” The picture book had a drawing of a full moon shining brightly on the sky with an unnamed man standing directly below the full moon with a smile.

He held up the package in his hands, “And this is a mooncake. They have a long history in this kingdom, and in my family.” I couldn’t pull myself away from his eyes, not when they traced over my face, studying my every reaction. I had to force myself to look down as he peeled back the sparkling paper, sending it careening into a bin with a nod of his head. It was a pastry, but one I hadn’t seen before. I was certain I hadn’t tried it during my time in Iridian. “You can only get them here, during the festival of Night.” He explained, again maneuvering us away from the crowd, which had once again begun to surge and grow around the booth we had visited.
