I whispered. I noticed the moon was starting to become less fuller as the clouds moved away and I could see it clearer. It wasn't a full moon tonight as I had thought earlier. It made me a little sad. “The moon is beautiful tonight, don't you think?” I slurred out. He hummed. “It is so fascinating to watch it all the time. I love watching the moon, you know? People always gaze at stars and say how pretty they are, but I always search for the moon in the sky—full moon, to be precise. Ask why.”

I found my way to the couch, took an extra blanket from the wardrobe, and lay on the couch which was placed next to the window, giving me a full view of the moon. God, it was beautiful. The way the moon stood alone, full, round, perfect, and bright like the sun in the dark sky lighting up paths and gracing me with its presence. It was magical. The little twinkle of the stars that danced around the moon, working together to make the night a beautiful evening, a beautiful night.

I say, and Dad smiles. “And I am so incredibly proud of you, of both of you. As a parent, I cannot wish for more.” Dad says. We are sitting quietly, watching the sun disappear behind the forest.
