To Miss Aubrey Sinclair, By decree of the Ashwood High Council and in observance of the Winter Convergence, you are hereby summoned to attend the Moonlit Ball, to be held on the eve of the upcoming full moon, within the Grand Solarium of Ashwood Hall. Priestess Elara who had been in the room with us, preparing all the ingredients and making sure everything was in the right order, cleared her throat loudly and said “It's about time we start, the full moon is almost here,” I looked up at the ceiling, which had an opening so I could see the clear blue sky, the moon had not arrived yet but it would be at any moment. I exhaled deeply and prepared myself.

Shadow growled. “Oh, please don’t yell, you’ll wake my grandpups and they’ve been through a lot. I am Storm’s mother, Selene. And yes, I am THE Moon Goddess.” She rolled her eyes. “Okay, so if you are the Moon Goddess, prove it.” Shadow demanded. Selene glared at Shadow and huffed. “Shadow and Jennifer Collins. How are your pups?” she asked. “How are Spyder and Spencer? Isn’t their mate expecting along with her cousin?”

Eve’s POV The night looked as though it had been bleeding. From my window, I stared at the moon hanging low and swollen in the sky, the light from it had turned the forest into shades of crimson. This was what the wolves called the blood moon. I always wondered if it was only a legend but today I worry that it might just be an omen. “He’s near.”my wolf whispered in what sounded like she was afraid. “Who?” I whispered back, but she only growled.
